This was probably by far our least favorite hotel in Italy. We stayed here for one night. The hotel is very close to the station but little bit far from main attractions in Venice but if you are in italy that shouldnt be a problem because you pretty much walk everywhere. The building is very old but its quaint. The shortcomings of this hotel is the hotel management and staff. Everything is fixable but I guess management don't want to spend money and time on it. For starters WiFi is really bad. For majority of time we couldn't even connect to the WiFi. Even after complaining to the staff they didnt help us at all to fix it. The shower room condition was abysmal. The water pressure in shower was really bad and slow. Third thing which was annoying was that when you arrive at the hotel they suggest you couple of places to eat. One of the places is really good but you need reservations. Hotel staff said that we have to go through them to reserve a table which we did twice but when we reached the place itself the owner said he doesn't have any reservation. Eventually the restaurant owner was nice and let us eat given that we leave in 45 mins. Overall I would not recommend this place for stay. There are far much superior hotels close to city center within same price range.
Our room had a high ceiling was very clean and in keeping with the historic building - not luxury fittings but what a traditional hotel in Venice should be and slightly quirky. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There was a good range of choice for breakfast and even the coffee from the machine was very good. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the bus station and just a few more minutes from the vaporetto stops and train station. The hotel is located on a relatively quiet canal and in a good position for discovering Venice on foot. There are a good selection of restaurants in the nearby alleys!
It's a good hotel. My room was large enough, clean and pleasantly decorated. The location is convenient, on a quiet street, and the railway station is just a short walk away. Breakfast is acceptable, with a hot drinks machine and a good choice of food).
We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is a 20 mins walk away from main train station and 30 mins walk away from major attraction such as Rialto Bridge, San Marcos etc. If you have heavy luggage then I suggest taking a porter from the train station which should cost you €15-€20. The rooms are too small for a couple but quite. Its room for people who travel with a hand baggage. Housekeeping services are good. The buffet breakfast served is ordinary. Nothing exceptional about food or services but thats what you can expect at the price we paid. The check in was smooth - Gabriella at the reception was sweet. The area around seems lonely and quite. It was winter when we stayed so cannot complaint about the shops being closed early.
The rooms are clean including bathroom and toilet. Personnel is very warm. Hotel place is very good 5 minutes to bus station. Only breakfast can be improved a little. They can add more options or they can make more food with egg. (Omlettes, crepes etc.)
We stayed at the Al Sole hotel which was about 10 minutes from the train station and 5 minutes from the bus station. This hotel was great value for money, excellent location and our room over looked one of the canals. We did a walking tour which was very informative and included a boat trip. Excellent trip.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in August. This hotel was good value considering the prices in Venice during peak season can be pricey. The breakfast was limited, but I cant complain since it was included in the price of the hotel. The front desk staff were wonderful! Gave us all the information for attractions, restaurants, busses, and printed off our boarding passes before we left. The rooms are dated which is to be expected for a three star hotel in Venice, however, they were very clean.
Venice, our favourite city is the epitome of wonderful faded elegance and this hotel is a perfect fit. It is clean comfortable with wonderful friendly, helpful staff and you know you are in Venice, not some anonymous room in a chain hotel. Our room was big and airy with a wonderful view overlooking a canal. We were given a super recommendation for a dinner venue. We will be back.
Great location for rail, bus station and Vaporetto. Historic building overlooking a quiet canal. Room clean and comfortable, breakfast fine and staff very friendly and helpful. As others mentioned wi fi hit and miss but who needs internet access when there is so much to do. plenty of eating places close by. The ones reccomended by hotel good but very pricey. Nb Sopperta can be booked on trip adviser with 20% discount
Typical Italian Hotel, lovely building but ageing interior. Handy for the bus depot but a long walk to the main attractions. I would have said you get what you pay for except for the banging pipes which started at 3.45am and kept the whole floor awake. It has been mentioned before in reviews but clearly not fixed. On that basis I would advise people to avoid.
