I truly enjoyed this hotel. The staff was fantastic, the hotel was charming, and the room was very comfortable. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast every morning, and the staff assistance with directions, restaurant suggestions, and discount opera tickets. Close enough to the train station to make getting there easy, and part way to St Marks Square made this an ideal spot for us.

Great location close to the train and the central bus station. Right on the canal so great views from the room. Loved the breakfast and garden areas! Staff were very helpful! Great experience!

We were only in Venice one night so mainly concentrated on location. All hotels in Venice are relatively expensive (unless you stay in an area that's only accessible by Waterbus to the main tourist areas). This hotel had good reviews, which in hindsight I really can't believe. Our room was SO TINY (room 221) and cramped, in the back corner of the hotel. Bathroom also tiny and unappealing. Very dark with no natural sunlight. The one advantage was that it was quiet. We had family staying in a twin bed room on the same level but their room was somewhat bigger and definitely better. Location was quite good, easy 5-10 minute walk to train station and many local tourism spots. Breakfast is included and it was decent, nothing special but better than typical continental breakfast. There is no Wi-Fi at the hotel. They do have a computer in the lobby with internet and printer access, but to use it you need to buy an internet card which costs 5 Euros/hour, and no smaller increments are available (i.e. there is no 15- or 30-minute card). I really hate hotels that nickle-and-dime their customers like this when all I needed to do was print a confirmation. Fortuntely I got a nearly used internet card from the lobby receptionist, so that was appreciated. Overall we were in italy 2 weeks, stayed at 6 places all costing in the $150-200/night range), and this was easily the worst. Would not stay again
