We just had a wonderful stay at the Montecarlo in Venice. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning in the room was operational in the month of April. We would highly recommend the hotel to others. I have one complaint and it is minor. I wished they could have served meatless scrambled eggs in the morning. There was bacon and sausage available on the table to accompany the eggs for meat eaters.
Excellent location. The water bus station is nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great. I have read other reviews about the room, shower, and elevator size is an issue. I didn’t find any of this being an issue. The hotel provided help with the luggage and the room size is pretty typical for this area. I would recommend and stay here again.
Great location, accessible to anywhere in Venice & so close to San Marco square. Staff at hotel were very courteous & helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Very clean.
This is one of the favorite hotels I have ever stayed in! Absolutely perfect. Right in the heart of St Marks Square but quiet and quaint. Complimentary full breakfast, afternoon tea, and even included a boat ride to Murano to see the glass blowing! The beds and linens were so comfortable and the a/c kept the room nice and cool. The front desk man was so great!!! We will be back!

I highly recommend this place and wish we could have stayed longer - it was just an overnight after getting off a cruise ship. We were traveling with 2 other couples and were all housed in the "Annex" part of the hotel...we were very impressed with the quality of the rooms and proximity to restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We are hoping to come to back to Venice in the near future for a longer stay and will definitely consider staying at Hotel Monte Carlo again.

I liked the location of the hotel. Right next to the San Marco Square. However, we stayed at an annex building that had no elevator and we had to carry our luggage up and down fight flights of stairs!! Additionally, the air conditioning did not cool down the room enough. Breakfast was great. Also, we liked the complimentary boat ride to the Morano Glass factory.

Though the property was aged (Venice!), it was still in good shape with a comfortable bed and a reasonably modern bathroom. Old-fashioned front desk experience (you leave the room key - complete with tassel!) - with the desk when you leave the hotel). Decent complimentary breakfast each morning. Outstanding, friendly service throughout.
Highly recommended, the breakfast is good and the hotel is very clean and spacious.wifi works really good and accessible to everything.
A beautiful older hotel near St. Mark’s Square but far enough to be quieter. They had a very nice breakfast, which was included. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
