We stayed in the hotel for two nights in mid February I arrived half an hour after midnight and the reception man kept in contact by phone giving directions which I really appreciate Check in was very smooth less than 5 minutes Our room was the last in the attic, no elevator:) but we were given help with luggage Room relatively good with bathroom in a different level with stairs but clean Breakfast not very diverse but was well served, feel free to ask the lady for cuppuccino :) Hotel location convenient and v.close to San Marco We enjoyed our short stay and will come back soon

We arrived at Venice train station at 7pm. Took us one hour to get to San Marco, then another hour to find the hotel (which is hard to find). the Hotel is ideally located only 5 min away from San Marco yet it is hard to find for people not familiar with Venice. If you arrive a night time, I recommend you print a google map and prepare your itinerary in advance to easily find the hotel. Otherwise hotel is clean, rooms are very small (walls are thin-we can hear neighbors). Breakfast is generally good.

Had a lovely 4 night stay in Hotel San Moise. San Marco. Venice. Breakfast in the courtyard accessed via coming out the Hotel and walking round the corner. Thankfulky it wasn't raining! Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Only gripe we weren't warned about mosquitoes and had opened windows during the day. Which resulted in a couple of bites each. This was January 2018. Hotel was nice lots of antique pieces of furniture in and around the rooms. In need of some decoration but seemed to be getting a bit of an overhaul when we were visiting. We were 5 mins from designer shops and Harry's Bar. San Marco was about 10 mins walk away. Same for water buses. Staff on reception were lovely. Older guy on the desk when we arrived didn't really speak or understand English very well🤔 No lift means you have to lug suitcases up the stairs yourself. I had read reviews about it being noisy. We found the only noises came from the lovely ringing of the bells from San Marco. Weather was ok. We got rained on for about an hour the 1st day, 2nd day there was a bit of fog. Warm enough to go without gloves and hats unless you were on a boat on the Grand Canal it was a bit cooler on the water. Will definitely revisit in January no massive cruise liners to spoil the views and tourist numbers meant the queues were at a mininum. FABULOUS! 🤣❤

This was our fourth stay in a decade at this sweet little hotel. The rooms in the original building are rather small but feel authentic. The courtyard rooms are larger. Breakfast is plentiful. The staff are helpful. Hotel San Moise is not a 5-star hotel, but the location and the amenities that it does provide make your stay very pleasant.

This was a great find centrally located. we had a room with a canal view. Room was a good size. Plenty of choice for breakfast. lovely courtyard (would be nice in at a warmer time of year). Apart from no hot water the 1st morning I would have given 5 stars. All in all excellent value in a perfect location, using a water taxi from the airport you can be dropped at the door of this hotel!

We only spent one night at San Moise but had no complaints! Our room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking the canal (a 20€ upgrade but worth it since we got a fantastic last minute deal). Extremely clean and well located. Breakfast was okay. Staff was friendly for the most part.

First of all, San Moise most definitely is no accurately described as a 'boutique' hotel. It is an old-fashioned, very basic, hotel. Tiny bathrooms, cold stone floors, poor breakfast, no hint of style whatsoever. Being Venice, it can charge £300 per night, but this is the kind of place I would have stayed in as a student and expected to pay a tenner! As I said, a very good location and the staff do their best, but if you can afford better, do so.

Amazing décor, comfortable accommodations, great breakfast, close proximity to Piazza San Marco, high-end shopping and Vaporetto stops. Maybe not a great choice for a budget traveler, but I was happy with our stay.

Hotel San Moise is a villa in the best part of town from where you can walk all directions easily and overlook one of the nicest small canals that is used by gondolas all the time. We enjoyed a familiy room that gave us the idea if being at home rather that in a fivestar plus museum.

My husband and I recently went to Venice and stayed at Hotel San Moise. It was a last minute booking so I guess we got what we got. I booked the room for 3 nights. The first night the noise outside happened at all hours as well as the room next door. Apparently one of the guests wouldn't let in the other at 3:00 am as there was constant knocking and talking through the door. The floors are tile even in the hallway so you heard everyone coming in. The next night was the same outside and with the neighbors, pounding on door and yelling. I believe the outside noise is due to vendors storing their carts or supplies on the first floor and coming in late. I talked to the front desk and told them we wouldn't be staying the 3rd night and requested a refund. I told them about the situation and the best they could do is move me to another room with no refund. We left without our refund. At this point I needed sleep and just wanted to leave. Room 16 was dark and small. Yes it is an old building but if they just removed some of the useless furniture it would have helped. There was no room for even one suitcase to be on the floor and in open position. Upon entering the room the main door hit a desk as well as the bathroom door hitting the toilet. The bed was comprised of two twin mattresses pushed together, common for Europe. One was very hard and the other lower than the other and lumpy. Please skip this hotel and make your reservations early so you have options. I just want others to have a great experience while visiting Venice.
