Yes, the hotel is not the best and is a bit run down but the location is perfect to explore the area close to the Rialto Bridge and beyond. All the request we did send to the hotel management to make our stay more pleasant was done by the management and the staff were very friendly and supportive. The room was small for a superior size room as well as the bathroom. The room was clean and quite at night, AC worked, bed comfortable, breakfast more than enough to get you going. Perfect location!!!!!!!
Quaint little hotel in an excellent location. Inside two alleyways, and we were fine with its location since all the streets in Venice are alleyways. Walking distance to the Water Bus Station, Water Taxi. the Rialto Bridge, which attracts a lot of tourists, main lanes near the canals and no bridges to cross. The hotel has five floors with no elevator. We were on the fifth floor; the concierge was helpful and took our suitcases up and brought them down and helped us to the Water Taxi on our last day. The room was clean yet small as well as the bathroom. The shower had a clogged drain and was not looked at during our stay. The staircase was dim and had to use the dirty railings going up and down. We planned our day accordingly, thus left after breakfast and returned after supper. I was okay going up the stairs once a day. The quality of the breakfast was disappointing. Very limited choice of food. The staff was friendly and helpful, but not professional and changed daily. They did recommend fantastic tours and knew the city quite well. The WiFi worked perfectly. I may consider staying there again because of its location but would ask for a lower floor.
A romantic holiday with my boyfriend for my 40th birthday. Checked in. Were told to sit and wait 15 min. After 30 min. the receptionist passed us, went to the hotel public toilet. Left the door open while he did his thing, and left without having cleaned his hands. 10 more minutes and we were showed to the room. The room was in an ally next to the hotel, up several dark stairs. It looked like an old lady's flat. A bit molded and dirty. The worst part though was the beds. Three folded out beds with absolutely the thinnest, worst mattresses ever. The pictures do not tell the truth here. The WiFi worked for about 2 minutes. Expensive and really BAD!
Service and staff were very good and attentive. Selection of food and drinks were good too. However, the quality of what was served was very disappointing, and prices could not justify what was served. Plenty of other places, better and cheaper, cannot justify going back
Nice little hotel. Not the most luxurious but our room was clean and ideal for what we needed. We were lucky to have a balcony with our room and it was lovely to sit outside in the morning and have a cup of coffee overlooking the roof tops of Venice. We were on the fifth floor which was a bit of a hike but the hotel did bring our suitcases up for us. We found the staff to be cheerful and accommodating. We didn't try the breakfast as we wanted to see as much as Venice as possible. This hotel is ideally situated and for the price is very reasonable. We did book a Superior Room so maybe that the way to go after seeing some very negative reviews on here. The alley way is like any other in Venice so we weren't put off by that on arrival. The plus sides of this hotel are location and it's peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. Its just behind the Rialto Bridge and the water buses so not to far to drag the suitcases ! Also the hotel will store your suitcases for you if you have a late flight and want to spend the day wandering around Venice.
This hotel is in a great location and a very reasonable price considering it's location. Yes the rooms are small but clean and well equipped. Exactly what I would expect for the price and the fact I went to Venice for the experience rather than needing a luxury room. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was spot on. Would definitely stay again.
We paid for an air conditioned room and none of the aircondions worked the entire 2 days we stayed there. The hotel is a dump. On top of that they charged us full price. Please don't even think of staying there ever. Ruined our holiday and charged us for it.
The room is beyond tiny, its so small I have to go outside to change my mind! It's run down, rooms are not made up each day, there is nowhere to place luggage. The double bed is so small my legs hang over the end, and I'm 5'6" (169cms)! It rained yesterday, the bathroom window does not fit the frame, so water ran in and covered the floor. There is no elevator, 4 flights every day. Worst hotel I've stayed in in 25 years of global travel, and I'm not exaggerating. Seriously, I looked on Airbnb yesterday to see if there was an apartment available and was willing to bail out of here and blow my money.
Fantastic location with a friendly, helpful reception. Unfortunately, no lift as the building is 15th century so it was no fun lugging two suitcases up five flights of stairs. Only the first flight had carpet - the rest were just stone. Standard room was average - only two pillows for the double bed. Breakfast was adequate and was advertised between 8 and 10. However things were often cleared away before 10.
For this price in Venice at this location- very good. Friendly receiption But for the breakfast you must be sharp. At 10am everything disapear from a dining room (including coffee machine and water dispancer (everything on the weels)
