A historic place with the historically aging hotel. Staffs were friendly and experienced professionals. Hotel was in a bad shape needs to be refreshed. Bathroom was aged and not up to date luxury bathroom. Over all not clean.
Location is perfect. Literally on the Grand Canal amd steps away from Piazza San Marco. Staff is beyond friendly and attentive. Very clean, upscale property. Worth every penny. The one thing that noone can top is the roof top restaurant Food is excellent but the view is second to none. My only advice, bring your own travel iron or steamer. They dont provide one for security purposes. If you decide to have them iron your clothes for you, they charge about 22 euros per item. Yes!!!! Outside of that, cant imagine staying anywhere else. Enjoy!!!!!

We were very satisfied with our recent stay at the Danieli Hotel in Venice. Celebrating the New Year with the delightful Danieli staff in this ideal setting was a perfect experience in every way.

Impressive hotel— lobby is beautifully decorated for the holiday season, complete with live music by the lobby (compliments to the piano player) . Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very nice comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel!

The Danieli is elegant, luxurious and perfectly located to visit Venice! The rooms are comfortable and complete with all that you need. The view from the roof of the Grand Canal, at breakfast, is a tourist destination in itself!! The only negative is the cost for drinks in the evening--overpriced. A cappuccino is 12 Euros. Overall, I would highly recommend this amazing hotel!!
Lobby is beautiful but it all stops there. Exterior needs restoration. Our room looked like decor from the 1980s double wide I grew up in. No hot water in the morning. Girlfriend tripped the breaker in our room twice after trying to plug up her straight iron, later learned that wiring does not support modern appliances after maintenance guy come to fix it. Took over an hour to get ice to our room. Had to call maintenance again to fix tv. Hotel changed me extra 50 euros to reserve a water taxi that I could have done myself if I had known. Save your money folks and stay somewhere else.
From the time we arrive by private taxi they took care of our luggage and deliver it in our room. Then when we check in the staff accompany us in the room and orient us with thi hotels history and where things are. The room gets serviced 2 x a day and they're very quick whatever you need ironing your clothes , asking for hot water etc. all the staff from housekeeping to people in front of the reception area they are very courteous and professional. I would not hesitant to come back again in hotel Danieli. Breakfast overlooking the grand canal is an unforgettable experience.
