I’m glad I could choose a female dorm, the showers and toilets were ok, although could be cleaned for mold like once a month. The lack of air conditioning may not be an easy fix, but please put an extension cord to plug the fan in and blow cold air inside from outside! The fan did nothing parked ...

The rooms were clean, people were friendly, it was nice that they offered free breakfast. The internet connection is very spotty and there is a homeless encampment right beside the front door of the hostel. They were pretty loud the first night, living/sleeping/arguing just below my window. That ...

My stay was very short, so I didn't get to take advantage of every amenity. Unfortunately, in my room, there was only one outlet (that I could find) between the other occupant and myself, so I had to charge my phone in a different room. Other than that, it was great for the 5 hours I stayed.

Youth hostels in France are the best way to see the sights without losing your savings. Perks can include free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and options for private rooms and bathrooms. Some hostels also include common areas where you can cook and share meals together, reheat leftovers, or just gather around to swap stories. The manager is likely a local who will be able to suggest new spots in France for you to visit. Take your new best friends and get going. France isn’t going to explore itself.
