Hotel Bisanzio4.0 out of 5.0

Our two-day trip to Venice was excellent thanks to the hotel and staff. It is a high-quality property located on a quiet street off the main promenade. The staff was very nice and generous with their time and advice. Perhaps the friendliest staff we encountered on our trip. The room was compact, but adequate. Note the rooms on the upper floors (I think five and six) are near the sloping roof so the outside rooms have somewhat limited headroom.
We stayed at the Bisanzio Hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is excellently located. Staff are friendly and competent. Our room was reasonably spacious and suited our needs. Breakfast offered was below par with limited choices and relatively bland cuisine.
We found this Hotel rather difficult to find initially when we got off the water shuttle, but once we found it we were very happy with our choice. The location was very central to many of the main attractions and there were plenty of restaurants and bars to explore. The hotel room had everything required. The bed was very comfortable and there was little external noise. Plenty of hot water in the shower! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was simple but ample
Spent three nights at this delightful hotel and could not fault it. Close to water taxis, San Marco, and many other famous Venice attractions. Staff polite and helpful, breakfast more than adequate, great wifi. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again when next in Venice.
We stayed 6 nights at the Bisanzio in June 2017 for an in-depth exploration of Venice. All the front desk staff were extremely helpful and accommodating of my interest in speaking in my third-rate Italian rather than their first-rate English. The location was great for us - very close to Piazza San Marco and just a block from the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop but also a bit off the touristy crush. Our room had a view of the top of the campanile in Piazza San Marco. I agree that characterizing the hotel as 4 stars is perhaps a bit generous. 3.5 might be more accurate, considering the room furnishings and the breakfast. However, for our needs the hotel was just what we wanted. If I had one serious suggestion, it would be to have water and coffee available in the lobby and sitting area downstairs. This wouldn't tax the staff too much, I think, but would make the place even more welcoming for guests.
Heart of the city! Great location within walking distance to St. Mark's Square. But on the quiet side street off the canal. Excellent breakfast and accommodations. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Gabrielle helped us with restaurant reservations that were excellent and not touristy. Excellent family accommodations. Would highly recommend!
It's my first time at Venice and am not quite sure of their hotel standard. It claimed to be 4-star hotel when room, facilities and services aren't impressive. Yes, their front staffs are pleasant and accommodating but not matching the 4 star quality. Hallway: not well lit. Rooms : humid odor and wooden floor has been creaking whenever you step at some parts. Coffee and tea - upon request and use styrofoam cups and not glass mug. Closet: old and creaking when opened. Shower area: too small/enclosed I requested to borrow iron and iron board and they just hand it over to you and let you bring it up yourself. Wifi: bit slow. Distance to San Marco : not too near, there are other hotels which is definitelynearer. Yes, they offer trip to Murano for euro 10/pax. But you will just land in 1 factory/showroom. Not highly recommended if you're looking for a more relaxing hotel to stay.
This hotel is a breath of cool, fresh air, in the midst of the burning heat of Venice in summer, right in the middle of tourist chaos. The minute you enter the lobby you heave a sigh of relief for the calm, the cool, and the comfort. Hotel staff were helpful and polite - (except for the last one who compared me (unflatteringly) to his wife when I repeated my offer of the required payment, which he was ignoring while on the computer.) Room is small but manageable - air is controllable and cool - breakfast is excellent. Location is also excellent; particularly the neighborhood BEHIND the hotel which is much less overwhelmed with tourists.
I have never posted a review on Trip Advisor before but this hotel is so good that I felt obliged to comment . A traditional hotel in a perfect location , lovely clean room , breakfast is really good quality but what makes the hotel is the staff particularly those on the desk - our thanks to Tony , Marco and Gabriel who were always friendly and chatty and who directed us to restaurants we would not have found but where we ate some of the best food we have eaten in all our travels . They led us to a lovely beach club on Lido and told us the best times to visit the places of interest and when your time is limited on a short break this advice proved invaluable . I would have no hesitation recommending the Bisanzio .
The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the ferry landing point ( ferry from car park or airport) and 5 minutes walk from St. Marks square. Perfect ! The staff are very helpful. Breakfast is a bit basic for the price of the hotel which is why it did not get 5 stars but I am being fussy here ! Room was comfortable size even with an extra bed for our daughter.
