This was a great little gem I stumbled upon. A small inn with a great breakfast and nice rooms, in a very centralized neighborhood in Venice. A quick walk to one of the big squares and the water taxi dock, and not far from all the best sights. Tough to find because it's like a maze to get there, but you can download a little video from their website to your phone that shows a first-person view of how to get there. And the best part? This was Casanova's house (yes, THAT Casanova) during some of his prime years of exploits. How fun is that?

My Husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. We were in room 401 on the top floor. The room was exceptionally clean although the electrical sockets are slightly concerning. Whilst pulling out the plug the whole socket moves. The safe wasn't working so I reported it to reception and was told that someone will take a look, no one did. The next morning we told the other person on reception, he too told us that someone would take a look. No one did! He did say that we could use the hotel safe but there were opening hours, we declined as we didn't want to have to keep asking to get our things and if we missed the 'openning' hours we could be stuck. The room was lovely and quiet but for the staff having their shower in the early hours of the morning, Saturday was around 7am the 2nd day was 5am. The staff shower room was next door to ours. It was so loud when everything else was quiet. There wasn't any smoke alarms that I could see, maybe there are other fire/smoke alarms in the hotel but I don't know where they were. I don't mean to do the hotel a disservice but think customers should make an informed decision. However, the bed is so comfortable, the breakfast was very nice and the staff very friendly. Would I stay here again, yes I would but I'd ask not to be in room 401. I wouldn't stay here if I was bringing children to Venice. We loved Venice and shall return.

Let me begin with a confession. I accidentally booked for the wrong weekend. I realized my mistake a few days later. Despite the fact that the dates I booked were three weeks out, the hotel refused to allow me to cancel. I tried to work with them directly, and indirectly through Expedia to no avail. In addition to refusing to work with me, they could not have been ruder. They did offer me an "alternative", which was to pay full price for the correct dates and still be out the original booking price as well. As I mentioned, There was no information about a non-refudable cancellation policy anywhere on the Expedia site. BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Situated in a very central place - near the emblematic Rialto and San Marco, this clean and charming hotel offer a good solution of BB. Their breakfast is really good and their beds are really comfortable, and linen - very clean. We were surprised to discover that the Bragadin palazzo were for 9 years the home of Casanova. With was a nice bonus for us. Also i need to mention their very welcoming and helpful staff.

The room was large with high ceilings and was very clean. We were very early for check-in and the staff were more than willing to hold our luggage until our room was ready. It's conveniently located making everything a short walk away. There's a grocery store literally one minute away and all kinds of restaurant/cafe options in all directions. Staff were friendly and very helpful. A coffee machine in the room would have made the place perfect but as it is, it's a great place and we'd happily return. Great value in Venice.

Absolutely loved this charming hotel! Less than a 5 minute walk from Rialto station and super close to all the main attractions/restaurants. The 24 hour front desk was VERY friendly and super helpful! The room was huge, clean, and very cozy. I’d definitely stay here again. A helpful tip would be to use google maps to get to the hotel and anywhere in Venice. All the alleyways can be very confusing without it.

I'd booked this 'charming Inn' based on Tripadvisor reviews and our budget, and 'charming' it was. It's about a 20 min walk with hand luggage from Rialto water stop. As you'd expect you have to navigate narrow walkways and bridges as it is Venice after all! Reception were friendly and helpful and were available 24 hours. Because it was low season the breakfast room wasn't open forcthe buffet but you could have an Italian or continental breakfast in your room for a small additional charge. We didn't opt for either as we wanted to experience breakfast in one of the many Venice eateries. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. We had a walk in wardrobe, a desk and a tv. The beds were firm and comfortable with quality cotton bedding. The bathroom was clean but dated and toiletries were provided. There werecalso plenty of towels including bath sheets. There was a stocked fridge in the room. On our first night we decided to have wine in our room (bought from the local co op) and reception were happy to lend us a corkscrew. They also recommended some local restaurants. My reason for 4 stars was because some of the fixtures and fittings could do with being tidied up a bit. That said, this would not stop me staying there again as it was excellent value for money. Recommended.

From Airport Pre-purchased water taxi tickets and disembarked at Rialto Station and walked about 5-7 mins to the hotel. Note that there are a few bridges with steps to cross so you may struggle with anything more than hand luggage. The hotel is located in an alley so can a little confusing. Google maps will help. Check-in: Staffed 24 hours a day; check-in at reception (2nd floor) was seamless. Note there are no lifts. Rooms are on 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor. Breakfast: During low season the kitchen was not open but breakfast could be pre-ordered to your room with advanced notice. The room: I stayed in a wonderfully clean, large double on the 2nd floor with a stunning high ceiling and plenty of space to hang clothes in the wardrobe. The bed was comfortable but the walls were not 100% soundproof. There are no tea/coffee making facilities but sufficient charging points if you wish to carry your own travel kettle. TV had a few English speaking channels (music, news). In closet safe, mini-bar. The shower head could do with being replaced but for the price we paid, can't really complain. I managed to have a shower and the bath sheets are most welcomed. Toiletries provided included shower/shampoo, shower cap, vanity set & shoe polish. Fixtures and fittings were loose but this wasn't an issue; the room is great for those out all day sightseeing on a cheap and cheerful visit to Venice. Check-out: 11am City tax of €1.40 pp/pn Luggage can be left If travelling by taxi boat, you will get this from the same side of the river. Other info: St Mark's square is approximately 8-10 minute walk at a slow place. The nearest square a few yards away has a co-op supermarket to fulfil most of your requirements (fruit, water, wine, treats). Also a wonderful bakery, which I can recommend. Reception can recommend some nice places to eat.

lovely small inn that offers bed and breakfast.perfect location very near the centre of everything. clean and nicely furnished ,the room wasn't huge but it had plenty of space for two people. We had the buffet breakfast and it was very good.the staff could not have been nicer and they were friendly and very helpful and efficient. Do use them to book trips and theatre visits.I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely inn

We stayed for three nights in May 2017. This is a fantastic friendly little hotel. The room was well equipped and comfortable. The bathroom was adequate, a bit dated, but clean and tidy. Staff on reception couldn’t do enough to help. It’s very central and relatively easy to find (following the video). Some good restaurants if you head to the right as you leave the front door. Breakfast on a tray is adequate, good value and recommended, especially on mornings where you want to get up and away. There is a small grocery shop on the other side of the square. It’s not easy to see at first glance but it is quite big inside. A great stay and hopeful we’ll be back one day.
