Hotel were great in helping us organise transport from the airport to hotel as we were arriving really late at night. We didn't find it that hard to find the hotel and they had a 24 hour reception so felt good knowing someone was just a phone call away if we needed. The room was large and bed was comfortable. We over looked a small street - the windows were thin so if someone walking down made noise it did wake us - but over all a good night sleep. We were greeted with a map and wifi code - wifi was good. We didn't try the breakfast so can't comment. They held our bags for us in our last day as again our flights weren't till later. Overall good hotel at a good price. Would recommend but if I stayed again I would ask for a quieter room. Good location as easy walking distance to everything... once you work out which way you are travelling on the map!
We had a great stay at Ca' Bragaddin Carabba. We spent ages looking for accommodation in Venice and we're genuinely over the moon that we booked this place. I've read a lot of reviews stating that it is hard to find this hotel. The hotel emailed us a map before we arrived and it was spot on - it honestly is literally 5 minutes from the Rialto bridge. Our room was enormous - it had a lovely big double bed and a nice bathroom. The staff were lovely and really friendly and helpful at all times. We wouldn't hesitate to return. At £35 per night, in central Venice, this was a complete steal!
Quite hard to find as my phone run out of battery but thankfully printed off the map that the hotel sent me when I booked. Our room was huge with marble floors and was very warm for this time of year. The rooms were very clean and the staff were superb and spoke very good English which was a bonus. Once you get your bearings sorted, it is ideally situated to get you around town as Venice is quite small. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that but with the good standards of the hotel, I'm sure it would of been nice.
Pros: They auto upgraded us to a flat which was very kind. The hotel was clean, and they were friendly. They are a little hard to locate, but for us it was part of the adventure. I like that they had security cameras, it left us gals feeling safe. Cons: The street gets very noisy even with the windows closed which made it hard to have a lie in. Breakfast was OK, but definitely not worth the 10 Euro per person. Overall I would return without question, but before I do I might look for a place that includes breakfast.
Top location in hidden Venice. Excellent staff and service. No swanky 5 star. Well worth the price. Very clean and tidy. Good bathrooms. Good extra large beds. We had breakfast twice. All good. Excellent café and croissant nearby (Farini) which was more us. Lots of very good local restaurants. I would definitely stay there again
This is our second time staying at Ca' Bragadin, because we enjoyed our first stay. The front desk people were always helpful, and switched our included buffet breakfast to breakfast served in our room. That was delightful, because our room included a secluded outdoor terrace, where we very much enjoyed our meal.
Pros: Good location and easy to find. Friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff. Good size room and bathroom. The room and bathroom were clean. They were very helpful in booking us a water taxi transfer to the airport for our early morning flight. Cons: I expected more for $188/night. Very worn and used bed. It must have been really old as it was completely concave in the middle. The pillows also seemed extremely used, old, and flat (this is kind of gross to me). Also, the shower curtain left a LOT to be desired. It wouldn't stay closed at all, no matter how much we tried (and believe me, we really, really tried), so water went all over the bathroom. Lastly, during our stay in October, we were told the air-conditioners were completely disabled and not available as it was autumn, and they shouldn't be needed. If the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning, they should not disable the air conditioners based on the time of year as the rooms were very stuffy, humid, and warm.
We had a lovely stay in Ca’Bragadin Carabba. We knew we had picked the right hotel from when we first booked and the web site was so informative. The directions from the bridge were easy to follow and we found the hotel tucked away in a quiet area. The first impressions were of a clean well run hotel and the staff very helpful. Our room was very clean and spacious and nothing was to much for the staff. The boss came across as very approachable and he had time for any questions or requests. The breakfast was very very good value as was the room service. The fact we had such a great place to stay made our visit to a very beautiful city extra special. We have already let all of our friends know of this lovely hotel and I’ve no doubt they will love their stay there too Thank you for making our trip extra special
A great hotel that's in a great location for all central attractions in Venice. Close to the Rialto bridge and plenty of restaurants and bars. Rooms are a good size and are clean, hotel staff very helpful.
Would recommend this small hotel highly. It's located in a quiet location away from the spots tourists usually frequent but still convenient to a number of eateries and the Rialto Bridge. The rooms are clean, attractive and well-appointed. Umberto, the concierge/ manager is warm, friendly and a wealth of information concerning directions and recommendations on how best to enjoy your stay in Venice. Breakfast buffet was quite good and well worth the price.
