I will stay here again when we get back to Vancouver
Just tucked away a bit makes it quiet for me.
If your only considerations were location & access to a fridge, then this place would qualify as adequate. But this place isn’t the most affordable (even for the immediate vicinity). But after a week stay, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to a friend. And that’s due to 3 primary issues/concerns: 1. Listed amenities didn’t match watch was available to guests. 2. various items in the room and around the hotel failed to work properly or were outright broken. 3. Inconsistency with listed policies and actual protocols and implementation. AMENITIES The amenities available early October don’t match the amenities offered. Some aren’t present at all, some closed, and some are slightly misrepresented. -No laundry -No onsite banking (ATM by main door, but wasn’t on). -No sauna -‘Business center’ = single desk & computer. -No balacony/patio access -No kitchen access -No food available The ‘on site restaurant & bar’ is more like a business that shares a door with the hotel. But there’s no organization between the restaurant and the hotel (which is how it’s represented). For example, a hotel guest picked up food for his room, wanted to add it to his room tab. They couldn’t bc they aren’t affiliated. 2. Heater didn’t work, room phone wouldn’t dial out, one elevator won’t work without key, keys work 1/3 of time, microwave didn’t work, 2 of 5 lights didn’t work. It’s adequate, but just.
Good place for the price

Front desk agents were horrible on the day of checking out. I received a call and the front desk was very clear when he said that I need to leave by 11am; otherwise, I need to pay 1/2 day. I asked him for a late check out by moon. Of course he denied my request. I would never go back in this hotel at all. I think the hotel should consider to trainer better the employees.
The property just needs a little update in the decor. Other than that, it's a great value for your money. Friendly FD staff and the beds are really comfortable.
Convenient location with professional & friendly staff. Clean and spacious room with city view. Rooftop access with sauna, exercise room & kitchen/dining area.
Modern, friendly staff, beautiful view, and walking distance to main points of Vancouver.
Our Deluxe two queen bed room was pretty nice and spacious. It has a small kitchenette with lots, pans, utensils for light cooking and a fridge. It is also conveniently located to major bus stops so you can travel anywhere from the hotel (Univ British Columbia, waterfront, Granville Island). It is also walking distance to Granville Island, though for some reason Google Maps keep telling us to take the bus.
It was great and good location for our purpose . Thank you
Clean, comfortable, convenient to Granville Island.
About 6 blocks from Metro and 1 block from bus stop. Room was worn. Many outlets did not work. It was basically clean.
the rooftop full kitchen and deck with a gym and sauna
Nice staff and comfortable room. Would've appreciated free parking and shuttle service to cruise ships.
They don't use fitted sheets and the smaller sheets they use simply move off and soon you are on the mattress. Sort of gross as I assume many have this issue. I have never seen a place not use fitted sheets over the mattress. Also the air conditioner is very loud. So much that you need to shut it off, but since the windows do not open you are then hot. They also have three controllers for the air conidtioner but they are not integrated so one does a fan, another on the other side of the room does the temp, etc. We won't stay there again.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing GEC Granville Suites, and thank you for taking your time to write this feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with our front desk agent. As for the late check-out, we provide free late check-out until 11:30 am. After that, the late check-out fee is $20/half an hour. Due to the pandemic, hotel staff cannot enter guest rooms for 3 hours after check-out. Hence, we will recommend guests reserve one extra night if they want to check out after 12pm. We also provide a storage room to help guests store luggage for the day free of charge. Again, we are sorry for the misunderstanding. we will strive to improve in order to provide a better experience for our guests in the future. We look forward to seeing you again.
