K's House Tokyo Oasis - Hostel

So hotels and hostels were pretty expensive at the time we visited, so we chose one of the highest rated yet cheapest place available in Asakusa. The staff are great and accommodating. They care a lot about their visitors and always ensure that they have a great stay. This place can be hard to find if you don't have a good map. I spent an hour or so trying to find this place. Other than that, K's house was one of my most favourite hostels to stay in Japan. Even compared to more expensive ones. Also, they give free ice tea, which was nice during the hot summer.

The location is ideal: Senso-ji temple is really close and the neighbourhood is both quiet and lively (restaurants, shops, supermarket). The closest JR station (Ueno) is a thirty minute walk. The staff is really kind and helpful. The bedding in private rooms is good.

Staff was super friendly and nice! Everything is super clean! Just off of a side street right by family mart. Beds are comfortable! Prime location to ginza line and a good 15/20 minute walk to Ueno station! Lovely place in Historic Tokyo. Absolutely loved it! Nicky and Kai were great!

I recently stayed here for a week during my trip to Tokyo. The staff here is very friendly. They will greet me every morning and welcome me back when I return. I stayed in their Twin Room which comes with a bunk bed and a private toilet. The room was clean and comfortable to stay at. Oasis is also greatly located. There is a 24/7 convenience store nearby and lots of good eateries nearby. Sensoji Temple and the shopping district is about 10min walk. Nearest subway is the Asakusa Tsukaba station. Do note that this is different to the Asakusa station that uses the Ginza or Asakusa line. Overall, my 1 week stay here is great. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Will definitely return if i go back to Japan.

Great spot, right in the middle of Asakusa shopping arcade and just few minutes to the Sensoji Temple. Its clean, comfortable. Can go solo or even with family. The staffs are great and friendly. They help so much to all we need. Reasonable price too

A very good place to visit Tokyo. The hotel is very clean, next to Asakusa station. Kitchen is well equipped. Dormitory are small but cleverly designed. Beds are comfortable with a special place for suitcase. The best quality of the hotel is the staff. Very friendly, they know all of their guests by their name so it’s very welcoming. All of them had very good advice for us (about the onsen, restaurants, supermarket...) Special thanks to Miki the very nice receptionist. The best we had in Japan. However the hotel is a little away from JR line stations. The last floor is hard to reach with luggage (elevators only to the fourth floor). The bathroom, though very clean, is the only one for two floor. It’s not enough and we had to wait sometimes.

I stayed at K's House Tokyo Oasis for 9 days at one of the 4-person mixed dorm rooms. The room was *very* clean; the staff really made sure that the place was spotless (or so it seemed to me). Staff at the lobby is proficient in English enough to hold up a conversation or make recommendations for the area and Tokyo in general. They are a friendly bunch. The hostel is located in the historic Asakusa neighbourhood of Tokyo, about 10 minutes by foot from a more traditional part of the town and to one of the biggest Shinto temples in all of Japan. I initially worried that the location would be too off-track but Tokyo proved to be so tumultuous that, if you are like me and coming from a city of 1-2 million people, the respite from the chaos of traffic and the onslaught of Tokyoites around every corner was a welcome change at the end of a long day of walking. Don't expect much in the way of luxury; this is a simple hostel intended for travellers looking for a place to sleep and make their breakfast in the small common kitchen. Not the best option if you are looking for a place where you can stay in for a day if you didn't feel like going out; the hostel is simply a bit too small for that (like most things in Japan!). I also don't recommend it for >10 day stays, but whether this advice is applicable obviously varies with one's temperament.

Stayed for three nights. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and little bathroom did the job well. To stay in such a convenient location in Tokyo for such a small price was tremendous. Of course it’s a hostel so facilities are basic, but on a city holiday all you really need is a comfy place to sleep and this provided that!

Honesty this was such a great, quiet hostel/hotel. Right in the heart of old Tokyo. Lots of places to eat and drink. Staff were genuinely lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful - finding lost bags, recommending sites, calling up future hostels, etc We had a nice room with a double bed and ensuite. Felt very safe at all times too.

Our family of 4 stayed in our own 'dorm room' here, and it was my kids' favorite place from our 2 week trip. The staff were very helpful, the area was very walkable and interesting, yet quiet and less chaotic than most, feeling more 'authentic everyday Japan' than touristy. The room itself was tiny as expected, but that added to the charm, very clean as well. Easy access to transit though most times we were walking 15 minutes - not a big deal as the weather was good and we enjoyed the sites. Not many breakfast options nearby unless you like cigarette smoke with your odd eggs, but the 7-11's in Japan have a shockingly good variety of surprisingly fresh pastries and fruits to choose from which became our default on the way to transit & events of the day. SUPER highly recommended and would stay again in a heartbeat!
