Clean, economical. Train station right across the street from hotel. Great place to go for a run around Imperial Palace. Breakfast was exceptional!

the room very small no indication that is so small No breakfast and the staff beheiver very rude I cancel my last day booking and move to another Hotel

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I went to Disneyland with friends. The hotel was in a good location for travel to Disneyland. The staff was wonderful. Thank you all for making my stay in Japan such a good memory.

Hotel is location across from subway entrance, with 7-11 a few steps away. Room is nice and clean, maybe a bit small, but probably average among tokyo hotels. Staff is excellent. No problem communication in english, helped arrange our airport limobus return trip with no problem. Overall an excellent stay.

This hotel is directly across the street from Exit No 5 of the Hanzomon Line of the Tokyo Metro, making it very convenient for travelers. The hotel is fully equipped with everything needed for a business or pleasure trip. The room and bathroom were clean and more spacious than some typically smaller Japanese accommodations. The decor is a modern upbeat style. Also, there were a lot of very good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

For me is a very nice Hotel, the zone is very quiet and paceful.

The hotel was not quite clean. Stains on the carpet and ceiling.

This hotel is hard to review due to the type and location. This is a hotel that is for business travelers and is located in the business district of downtown Tokyo's Chiyoda ward. This is a great hotel for business travelers who want to be where they need to be for business. On the other hand I found it great for me (a sightseeing tourist) who was comfortable taking the subway since the hotel is directly across the street from the Hanzomon station of the Hanzomon subway line. The Tokyo subway system may look very complicated but once you take the plunge you will find that it is probably the most well organized subway system in the world and there is always a sign there to point you in the right direction. (they are all in English BTW) The hotel is also located within a 10 minute walk to the Imperial Palace grounds so if you are looking for a nice walk after your day of sightseeing this is the place to be. There are also plenty of places to eat since it is a business district. The room itself is focused on the business traveler and small (or regular size for Japan) and clean. The staff is helpful and understand English and speak enough so that there is no miscommunication. There is no view to speak of and I only could see the wall of the neighboring building from my window. There is free internet access in each room and an ethernet cable to connect to your laptop in the top drawer of the desk. The room is perfect for anyone who is in Japan to experience Japan and not your hotel room. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is on a budget and wants to see Tokyo and not the view from their hotel room. Stay at this hotel for its location and not its amenities.

Hotel Monterey Hanzoman is a first-rate business hotel. While it is a little out of the way for tourist travel, access to the outstanding Tokyo Metro is literally across the street. The Hanzoman district is very quiet for night-life, but the price and room quality can't be found in any other area of the city.
