E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku

I stay 5 nights in this Hotel. It's take me only 15 minutes walk to Shinjuku station. The hotel is also located right next to a subway station which is also handy. It was very clean and comfortable but the bathroom are very small. The rooms were clean . We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Thank you.

Perfect location in a fun neighborhood with a metro station only 10 steps away. The room was nice and clean but uncomfortably small. Was expecting more for the price. If you are a backpacker looking for recommendations or to make friends this is not the accommodation for you.

The room was quite tiny. The bed filled the room. If one person was getting dressed the other person had to be on the bed. There was no drawers or closet or shelves for clothes. Clothes were put on the small counter. The bathroom was like an air plane bathroom. A large person would not fit. And the "free breakfast" was a coupon for Tulleys which redeemed a small coffee and a sugary microwave processed breakfast item. I could not eat it.

Comfortable except the constant police siren. Too tired so I slept through anyway.

Big for a Tokyo hotel room, especially in Shinjuku. Nice location, not far from Tokyo Metro, Odakyu, and JR. Bathroom was not completely clean; toilet bowl had urine stains on underside of seat and bottom of soap dispenser was covered in scum. Generally, the room seemed a bit beat up and haphazardly cared for/cleaned. The staff upon checking in was weirdly rude. It was really off-putting. Staff during checkout was very, very friendly.

Book rooms with two beds instead of one. The one bedroom was very snug and not for partner travelers. Only good for solo travelers. Very clean Close to 5 7-11 and 2/3 underground stations. I will be booking here again!

Very nice place and people. Good foods and no crime at all

This place is awesome but rooms are only suitable for one person. Don't even think about it if you are couples unless you are planning on breaking up early. The downside is only that, but the upside is plentiful and outweighs the room capacity issue. Pros: Great staff, clean rooms, laundry and amenities located immediately outside and within the hotel. The Higashi Shinjuku station is next door but make sure you check what train line it is because this isn't direct to Narita Airport(Most common airport people use). Cons: Small room

Wonderful stay in Japan. The toilet was not fully clean & the room smelled a little funky most days but the hotel was charming. I'd stay there again. Thank you.

Very well located right next to a subway line. Food spots and transportation within walking distance. Very safe neighborhood. Somewhat noisy due to passing ambulances but overall we were very happy with our choice

Although I stayed only one night I found the hotel very comfortable and conveniently located and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Excellent Hotel near to train station and shinjuku restaurant area, the staff it's very good english speaker and the rates are amazing.

This was an excellent hotel conveniently located about 15 min walking to the Shinjuku JR station and right next door to the HIgashi Shinjuku subway station exit A1 (which connects you to the JR station if you like). Lot of places to eat around, Pizza place right across the intersection, Mcdonalds, 711, Lawson convenient stores, Chinese restaurants, Artnia cafe, etc. The rooms are actually spacious for Tokyo hotels. Very nice rooms with large bed, tv, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash toothbrush, pajamas, slippers, kettle, coin laundry machines on floor 4 etc. Staff was very friendly and hotel was perfectly clean everyday~! Will stay here again!! <3

This hotel is located in a good location, located above Tully's coffee shop and directly above the Higashi Shinjuku subway station. Although the room was very small, it was clean, comfortable and quiet. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, note that the room is so small there is no space to store your luggage.

This hotel was in a great location in shinjuku. Like most hotels in tokyo, the size of the room was a bit small, but that's expected. You don't want to stay in the hotel when you could be exploring the city anyway. The room was very clean and the hotel was easy to find in a central location. Staff was very nice and even allowed us to store our luggage after checkout while we looked around the city more before our train. Great trip.

Friendly staff, coin operated laundry service, plenty of vending machines, and did I mention it's right next to a subway entrance. right across the street from a great curry house, and just down the road from an amazing sushi restaurant. The room and bathrooms are pretty small, but I was pretty comfortable there the entire time. A great stay!

Great location in popular spot, Shinjuku with train stations in very close walking distance. Hotel didn't provide the complimentary water, but it did provide free wi-fi in the lobby and in your room. Although the hotel is smoke free, our hotel floor reeked of cigarettes.

The location right next to the subway is the best feature, wifi in your room is wonderful, the hotel is nice and it's a great value for what you pay, we would recommend this hotel in Tokyo to family and friends

The hotel is located in a quieter part of Shinjuku, which was nice. It's a bit of walk to Shinjuku Station, but you're only a stop away via metro (which is literally around the corner). The hotel staff was very helpful and the hotel itself was clean. The room was incredibly small even by most standards, but for the price and location it was worth it. Definitely a business hotel and not so much for relaxation and luxury.

if you are coming from the airport, do not alight at the jr shingashu station, as from that vantage, the hotel is VERY difficult to find. take the F line (brown), and no matter which exit you depart from the hotel is either right next door or right across the street. rooms, though small, are ingeniously designed for space and are immaculate. my only reservation is that staff is not up on directions : for instance, they told me i needed to change twice for ginza, and only one change is needed. they also told me, after looking it up on line that the matsuzakaya departement store there was closed. believe me it was not. be aware that it is virtually impossible to access the room before 3 p.m. you can keep luggage there, and use the internst, but that's about it.
