We stayed at APA hotel nishi azabu in October 2018 and got the small double room (it was the cheapest deal). It's a nice clean hotel. It's small, which is expected. Great location. It's about a 5 minute walk to the Hiro station. It is also about a 15 minute WALK to Roppongi!!!! 5 minute walk away to 7 eleven convenience store. This hotel is far enough from the busy area so that it's nice and quite at night. But it's also within walking distance to great restaurants in Roppongi. The hotel has a French bakery on the ground floor, the baked goods look delicious, but quiet expensive. The way the bed is situated, you'd have to jump over each other to get off the bed in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Not really a hassle for us, but might be a hassle for those of you who are light-sleepers. We luckily got a corner room, and bright windows on 2 sides, and had a view of the city! There are plenty of USB plugs right by the bed, and also a couple of electric plugs for your chargers. There's a vending machine on our floor, just in case you really wanted something to drink. We usually opted to walk to the convenience store, though, because it's way cheaper than the vending machine. You'll see from our pictures how we situated our backpack and carry on luggage (we only brought 1 travel pack and 1 carry on suit case for our 2 week trip). We had to place the backpack on the table, and the suit case at the corner of the room. Even with 2 small suit cases, it was a very tight fit, but it was totally manageable for us.
Oh God !! Japan takes the cake for smallest hotel rooms in world. APA hotels, chain of hotels in japan. rooms are old, toilets are squeezed up, breakfast closed earlier. But they keep it clean, thats japanese culture dont recommend for family at all, one night at the most if you can't find any other hotels
We stayed just one night just when we arrived in japan. It is well located if you want to visit tokyo. Rooms are quite little, but price is not too expensive so... the subway is like 5 min by walk and you are at shibuya / shinjuku in 10minutes. The area is quite calm and very clean( residential, not so much activities). Very beautiful at cherry blossom time !
Stayed 1 night as we had an unexpected lapse in our accommodations. We survived & the shoebox of a room was "clean enough" for our circumstances. BUT I would NOT stay here again. For $170, we had curtains with worn out fabric, paper thin walls that welcomed hallway conversation & neighbor's snores into our room making sleeping difficult, & soda spray on the wall above the trash can. I'm 5'3" & could touch both walls...very tight space for 2 adults who like each other. Oh, check out the available "entertainment" on the laminated sheet offered inside the tv guide.... Breakfast was included...hard boiled egg & roll were tasty but skip the cold omelet since the warming burner isn't on. Just go elsewhere.
Very convenient hotel, walking distance to the city malls. Very smart and fresh rooms on the budget side leaving you with a few yens for shopping. I can recommend this comfortable hotels to any would be visitor to Tokyo famed for it's high levels of sophistication and cleanliness.
The hotel rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were certainly efficient. The Swiss restaurant was good, with set menus and the service personal and vg. The breakfast they also served was good. One cannot go wrong with scrambled egg, plus marmalade. The only thing that was out of place were the frankfurter like sausages!
Room was very very small (approx. 10m2) and had not been cleaned. Cookie crumbs and hair on the floor, lots of dust at the bedhead. Unable to turn off the heating. Definetely not worth the 49k Yen we had to pay.
We stayed at the APA Hotel Nishiazabu, Tokyo from October 12-15, 2016. The Narita Airport Shuttle does not go to this hotel. The shuttle will drop you off at The New Sanno Hotel and then take a taxi from there to the APA Hotel. It's about a $10.00-12.00 USD fare. It is very close (walking distance) to the International School of the Sacred Heart and also close to the Yamatane Art Museum. The restaurant, Swiss Chalet, is connected to the lobby and serves breakfast for 1260JPY per person. Breakfast was soup, rice, salad, eggs,(scrambled or boiled), ham or small link sausage, bread rolls, coffee, tea, and juice. It's a nice hotel with small rooms that met our needs for our stay in Tokyo.
The hotel is nice and clean with all amenities ready in your room. I was in a smoking zone room and the ambiance is great. There is a 7-eleven just across the road if you need some other thing. The nearest subway station is Hiro O around 600m from the hotel. The room is super small even a couple could not pass by silmutaneously, you need to let each other to pass first. The tv size is very big compared to the room size. The staff is courteous enough and will help you with other things if you asked. Bathroom is also very small with bathtub is only for sitting position (you can't stretch your leg. I am a 5' 2" and the tub height is at my quads. Standing in the tub for shower, your elbow will knocked the wall while soaping your self. Bed us also small for a 2 person, if you ar 7' then your legs will be streched out of the bed. Only a couple of pillows size of you 2' x 2'. As for Halal food, you better bring your own food here, there is none in close proximity. I have use the apps to find it, it show it has but none to be found. Comparing to the budget allotted and the surrounding area prices, it is good for your money.
Close to Nishi Azabu crossing, convenient for Roppongi, Shibuya and Hiroo. The room is tiny, the bathroom was fine. Suggest breakfast at the Sawamura cafe just down the road towards Hiroo. Literally nit room to put a reasonable size suitcase anywhere and open it - except in the bed.
