Cannot say anything negative about this hotel. We spent 4 days exploring the city on foot and found the location convenient. I would recommend the restaurant Fina Par, attached to the hotel, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Excellent service in both hotel and restaurant.
Excellent location, near World Square Mall, Chinatown, Central Train Station. It is an older building. Free wifi is very slow. Hallways have musty odor and didn't seem to be cleaned daily. Staff is responsive and will act immediately to address your concerns.
Beautiful hotel in the middle of everything. Easy walk to Hyde Park, Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The staff are very informative and polite. You should stay here :)
This hotel was perfect location for us. Close enough to the harbor and Hyde Park, bus stations, train station. Everyone was very nice and helpful during our stay in Sydney.
A post- cruise visit to explore Sydney. We used both restaurants for meals several times. They were convenient And tasty food choices. Also nice to have the hotel as a pick up point for ATT KING tours. Great trip to the Blue Mountains.
This hotel is in a great location! It's near many of the sites you definitely want to see in Sydney. Each day, we walked to our destinations: Harbour Walk, China Town, great restaurants, museums, malls, etc. Once we got to Harbour Walk, we took a water taxi to see the Sydney Opera House. The hotel itself is very basic. It clean enough. The service is okay. The gym is okay. The great location and reasonable price (compared to nearby hotels) make up for everything it lacks in other areas. A big plus was that when we arrived early, we were allowed to leave our bags in a keeping room until our room was ready. That was fine with us we set out by foot to explore Sydney. If you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room, Vibe is the perfect place to stay when you visit Sydney.
The room wasn't as clean as we expected considering the cost of the room. The curtains in the room were dirty as well as the carpets. Reported the condition to the front desk and didn't get any explanation on why. The bathtub/shower combo was very unsafe due to the fact that there wasn't and mat in the tub to prevent falls when showering. Also the inside of the bathroom door appeared to have been chewed up and very unpleasant . Just gave it a dirty/unkept appearance. There were no drawers or shelves to store clothes in as well. The hallway carpet was not clean either. The people at the reception were very helpful and easy to deal with but there's only so much they can do. Would not stay in this hotel on any subsequent visits to Australia . We would have changed hotels had it been possible .
This hotel was OK but pretty basic. It was in a convenient location and the price was good so if that's what you're looking for this hotel is fine.
Always book this place for our business trips and also hold conferences here. Staff are great and helpful.
Clean room, friendly staff at a centrally located spot in downtown Sydney. Close to train station, Chinatown, and downtown.
We were very impressed with the comfort and location of this hotel. The staff were exceptional in every way. In particular I would like compliment Chris for going way beyond in assuring that we had a pleasant experience.
Hotel is in a decent location - central to everything and only 2 blocks from metro. Rooms are big, but furniture is cheap and worn. Walls in the room were pretty dirty. Internet was extra $25 charge. For the rate I paid, I expected something nicer and with WiFi included.
An excellent room for the price. Friendly staff and great room service. iPod Dock in room was a plus. Nice toilet facilities and a great location near central station and an easy 20 minute walk to Circular Quay. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Great location. Staff very helpful.Room adequate but sheets stained. "green" request, make up room lightly get a free drink, complied, but no drink! Pool very small, three 's a crowd. No free wifi.Late check out $30/hr. Breakfast buffet in D/r, $20, breakfast in lounge very slow. Room key hardly ever worked. It's a pity, this hotel could be so much better if management paid attention to detail. We found it expensive, but Sydney is expensive. We will try and find a better deal next time.Recommend with reservations.
Nice Hotel, The rating should be 3 1/2 stars. Desk is very helpful and location is excellent; the Gym is small (both machines I commonly use were taken so I had to wait a long time); my other complaint was the 24 hour room internet (costs $24,99/day) extremelly slow and not worth the $$. Overall a nice hotel, certainly not a 4*, but well located, safe and fine for a short stay.
Good location, nice rooftop pool. Basic accommodations and amenities but inline with what you'd expect for the price.
Vibe is a great hotel no matter where you are or how much you're paying - comfortable bed, lots of space, pullout couch, rooftop pool, sauna, and all of this at an awesome location in Sydney. The most stunning part of all is the price - We paid $115 per night right after New Year's Day, which is one of the most expensive times of the year in Sydney.
This hotel is perfectly located to access the city, there is a bus 555 thats free that runs to circular quay where the boats leave for the zoo and other sights. There is a Coles grocery store down the street that you can purchase some food for the fridge in the room. There is a starbucks at park annd st elizabeth street that has free internet all the time which is great for staying in touch. The staff work hard to accomodate your needs, just ask and they will try. Do the hop on/off tour and climb the bridge at night its worth every cent.
The Vibe on Goulburn Street is an average hotel - neat and tidy but nothing spectacular. The location is excellent - walking distance to everything you could possibly want or need. The lobby area is very nice and the staff are helpful and very friendly. I was greeted by all staff, not just the person checking me in. The rooms are generally clean. I did find the corner desk area to be a little dusty. The bathroom was spotless, and I did enjoy the bathtub. One of the pillows had lint all over it, so I didn't use it and tossed it off the bed - but had 3 other pillows to use on the nice big king size bed with crisp white sheets. The carpet in the rooms is a bit worn out, but not too bad.
The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Let us check in early and lent us umbrellas during a downpour. The location was excellent, room was clean and plenty big enough.
