We specifically stayed here for access to the pool we had no advanced notice that the pool was closed for refurbishment. Only a paper sign at the front desk when we checked in. We could have chosen any of the other hotels located within walking distance of this one that had a functioning pool.

The room they gave me smelled and when they couldn't give me another room, I changed hotels.

Friendly front desk but very basic room and amenities

It was conveniently located to Smith College and downtown Northampton. The room and bed are comfortable and breakfast was nice. Unfortunately, housekeeping had done a sub-par job of cleaning a disturbing pool of blood in the bathroom- staining on wall, grout and tub. Front staff were horrified when I notified them and they came immediately to clean and disinfect, unfortunately no replacement rooms were available. Unfortunately located across the street to the state’s first MJ dispensary with long lines and police barricades

Very conveniently located. Basic, no fuss comfort during a night out in Northampton. Just cross the street for the yarn shop, or walk 10 minutes to all the watering holes :-)

nice enough, easy to get to, friendly staff. could use a facelift.

It was bare bones. Non-smoking hotel but with ash trays in common areas, like walkways just outside rooms. Staff was very friendly and competent. Breakfast, though free, was pretty bad. Coffee was unbelievably weak. English muffins and bagels were fake. Toaster took forever and should be replaced. Workout room wasn't in working order. 2 of 3 machines were not functional. Location is what it is--on the roundabout just off 91, but we knew that. Booked late and took what we could get. Room keys never worked. Had to replace and those didn't work either. Had to make sure we always knew where our one working key was. Pool was actually pretty nice, though. Kids loved it. And it's larger than the Fairfield Marriott pool. Kids also loved the fish tank in the lobby. I'm in no way irate--this just isn't the world's nicest hotel, is all, but it served its purpose for us to use as a base and visit family.

Very close to downtown so we were able to walk everywhere.

Hotel was extremely dated and in need of through cleaning. Room had a slight musty smell and beds were rock hard. However front desk staff was pleasant and professional.

Room was ready when we arrived. Checkin and checkout was fast. Room was clean and all in order except item below. There was a minor problem with a non-working electric receptacle for floor lamp. Fortunately it had a long cord - we could plug it into the nightstand outlet. Breakfast was a basic inexpensive complementary breakfast with cereal toast, etc.

I was disappointed in this hotel. The pictures made it look really nice, but the room was older and when I first walked in it was freezing. The heater had not even been turned on and it took quite awhile for the room to heat up. I paid $20 more for this hotel than the one I stayed at the night before and it was not half as nice. The microwave was not working very well and I did not feel comfortable taking a shower in the old bathroom. for the price I paid, I expected it to be better. The mattress was also very old and when I checked for bedbugs as I always do, I found that there were many rips in the mattress, exposing the coils. This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel that I did not feel comfortable in. I will not recommend this hotel chain to any of my family, friends, or clients. I am sad that I had to write this review, but it was one of the required fields.

Staff very helpful - moved me to a better room upon request. Big snow storm made it difficult to get back into the hotel at night after city snow plow plowed and blocked the entrance way.

The breakfast area was good and clean and well-stocked. The staff was very friendly. I'd certainly stay here again and plan to when we have family events in the area. Very comfortable beds and I liked the choice of pillows. The room heat unit worked well which isn't always the case.

The people at the front desk are amazingly nice and helpful. The newer building is in good shape and the rooms there are nice. Our room in the old building was smelly and super noisy from some kind of equipment running upstairs from it. I would have asked to change rooms but I was tired and decided to put in earplugs and go to sleep instead.

We were visiting family in Northampton for Thanksgiving. Since we were staying the night and their house was full, we stayed the evening at the hotel. The accommodations were were clean just what we needed. The staff was very friendly when I checked in and checked out.

Stayed one night. slept well. Had a good breakfast.

reasonably priced, clean and close to downtown. thats all i have to say about that

The hotel and staff themselves were great. The price was too high for the type of hotel. That was the only negative from my experience.
