The staff was very friendly and our room was perfectly clean.
I was very upset. Upon arriving they said they didnt have a room for me and they gave us a different room that we didnt want. The elevator broke and we needed to carry our luggage and items 2 flights. The beds were not clean abd there was no housekeeping even though we stayed 5 nights. We needed ti ask for more towels and more pillows since for two people they only gave us 3 pillows that were small

The hotel was clean and well appointed. The shower was especially nice. The breakfast was also good. The one big concern was finding a dead bug under the mattress (we always check). My husband, a biologist, identified it as a beetle, but it still should not have been there. I did end up with several bites anyhow, and did not have them before the stay. When I mentioned the dead bug upon check out, the front desk person apologized, but did not offer any kind of compensation (discounting the room, a voucher for a discount on a future stay, etc.). When experiencing any problem (e.g., no hot water) at other hotels, the management has always offered some kind of compensation. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I expected the same from Marriott.
Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Our only problem was with the TV. There was no printed guide to the channels, and some of the info on the guide which was on the TV was incorrect. We did find something to watch, however, and our overall experience was excellent!!!
Good lighting and very bright even in a cloudy/rainy day. It cheers us up after a very long drive.

We chose this hotel because it was close to downtown Northampton. We wanted to be in walking distance from the restaurant and bars. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable.
