The hotel is older but basically clean. Biggest issue was no built-in heating or cooling working in the room . The staff had installed a portable heater. No AC , nor screens in the window if you desired to cool by opening those

I found it pretty grungy. My no smoking room smelled distinctly of cigarette smoke. And there was a man working the desk who was quite rude when I said my key would not work.

This no frills motor lodge recalls a simpler time. Not old fashioned per se, as modern amenities are available and facilities are up to date. Clean and welcoming. I would make a return visit.

Towels and blankets were THIN and old, place was clean and didnt smell, but very DATED. We went down for breakfast after 7 both days and it NEVER HAPPENED. A place to sleep other than your car. Propreitors were nice.

Very noisy heater as well as very disturbing noise during the night from people chatting on the parking lot right next to the window. Cannot recommend

The hotel was ok. I needed a place to sleep and it was that - safe and relatively clean. However, the walls were very thin and the people in the room next door were up late and up early. I was disappointed to be wide awake at 6:00 listening to loud conversations that I had no interest in. The woman at check-in was very nice and pleasant. Overall, it was fine but not great.

I was very pleased with the hotel..they cleaned the room every day gave fresh linens and towels daily..when I return back to Ma. I will stay at the Knights Inn again.. THANK YOU AGAIN!!

Basic and run down. Room was dark and the climate control did not work.

The room was very clean but needed airing out. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Very clean, pleasant staff, near movie, restaurants, mini golf, UMass, many other things. Plenty to do in the area. Our only complaint was very hard beds.

The staff was friendly, room clean and there was a pool. Didn't bother with the "breakfast" as we wanted a real one. Little things like no mirror in the room, only the little one over the sink was disappointing as we were all attending a wedding. The furniture would not have been accepted by the Salvation Army (except for the bed). The clock didn't work and luckily we didn't have much time to use or need the TV. It was OK if, as we did, just needed a place to sleep after a long day. All furnishings were shabby and worn but the sheets were bright white and the bathroom was clean.

From the mysterious mattress stains, to the uncomfortable, dingy bedding, to the non-functioning appliances, to the traffic noise from route 9, to the busted furniture, and the TERRIBLE owner and front-desk employees, AVOID THIS "hotel" AT ALL COSTS. Please trust me when I say that no amount of savings is worth the suffering you will endure from staying here.

For the money we paid, I would have thought the experience would have been somewhat nicer.

I don't want or need fancy hotels. I want safe, clean comfortable hotels and this one fit the bill with flying colors. Attentive, helpful staff. Inside and outside neat as a pin. Firm comfortable bed. Nice simple breakfast is also included. No smoking room was acutually smoke free!

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with our room. It was clean and orderly. It seemed like it had been recently painted or re-decorated. Nothing fancy but for the price it was great. Noise from passing cars on Route 9 may have been an issue, but we quickly adjusted. We have paid more for less at other area similar hotels.

This is our standard place to stay when in the Amherst/Northampton area. Convenient to everything and a bargain as long as you don't expect 3 star accomodations.

We wanted a cheap place to stay around Northampton and were visiting for the annual Holyoke St pattys day parade. The place was in a good spot. Lots of shopping just east of the place. Continental breakfast was lacking, well, everything! They did have the good Costco muffins, juice and coffee but that was about all I saw. Room was clean and bedbug free.

Nothing more than a place to stay. Very basic amenities and old TV, AC. No complains for the price and I wasn't expecting nothing more.
