The Ellery is a solid, comfortable Inn with very accommodating staff. Perfect location to visit Northampton, Smith College and the rest of the "Happy Valley" towns. Modest but satisfying breakfast, with snacks out throughout the day. Ample parking, but also it is a nice walk down into Northampton center. Clean rooms, very comfortable beds and bedding. I am particularly happy with the dog friendly aspect if the Inn, though the 75 lb limit on dogs seems a bit arbitrary. Lots of nice restaurants in Northampton and neighboring Easthampton.

Very nice hotel close to Smith College.
Everything was comfortable and very nice. The only suggestion I would make is to put down a couple of area rugs in the rooms to break up the hard surfaces everywhere. You also notice every bit of sand on the hard floors if they aren’t fully and completely swept every day. Which is hard to do.

We were making a quick trip to Amherst to visit UMass and our stay was easy and comfortable. We got there very late and it was an easy check-in. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. We had to leave early and was pleasantly surprised that the Continental breakfast was set out before 8am and we were able to eat something before heading out! They had a lovely lovely spread with the usual bread items but also hard boiled eggs, avocado spread and yogurt. The best part was all the toppings! It made it feel much more special. They had coffees and teas and also a filtered water system so we refilled our bottle before checking out. Will definitely recommend!

I stay at the Ellery because its the only place in town that accepts dogs. But its also expensive dog fee of $35/night. I feel they should charge a one time dog fee. Eitherwise very friendly staff and the breakfast is good. The times that i have been able to enjoy it.
