August in Spokane is hot. The hotel uses an old window air-conditioner mounted in an exterior wall to try and cool the whole room. It can't keep up, but did freeze solid 3 times, and chugged loudly all night. Our non-smoking building had several smokers who simply stepped outside the building doors and windows to light up. This meant opening the window to cool the room filled it with smoke. Cigarette butts litter the stairs around the sign saying "No Smoking within 25 feet" I needed to plug in a CPAP machine and moved the nightstand to find an outlet. Instead I found an empty Marlboro pack and an empty frozen burrito wrapper. This place could be great, and had great staff. The breakfast is simple fare, coffee, toast, apples, oranges, juice, and cereal. The price was low, but not a good value.

I was expecting a nice room but when I got to my room there were a number of things I noticed right off the bat. I didn't realized I had checked into/booked a smoking room until I got there. 1. The carpets and linoleum has cigarette burns. 2. Even the bedspread had cigarette burns in it. 3. The bed was worn out and had no support. 4. Walls were dingy from all the smokers that stayed in there before me. My suggestions are as follows: 1. Make the hotel Non Smoking. 2. Change/replace all carpets and linoleum. 3. Get new mattrases. 4. give each room a fresh coat of paint.

We booked one of their family suites and it really worked well for us. Not too expensive, but lots of room. It was in a convenient location for us, so we were perfectly satisfied. Nothing fancy and nothing to write home about, but the staff were friendly and the morning breakfast was actually a pleasant surprise. Lots of variety and some nice choices. We would stay again.

Our room was small, but clean and comfortable, and included a fridge and microwave. There was a lot of traffic noise when we opened the window for fresh air. The continental breakfast was better than average. We plan to stay here again when we return to Spokane to visit our son.

Very good stay for the money. Had microwave, fridge, iron, etc. not the ritz but beats a lot. Dated but comfy.

Bed was comfortable, could use some paint but everything was clean.

Nice quiet hotel with easy access to the north/south corridor of Spokane.

I have to say that I was disappointed in this hotel. We have stayed here before (it was a long time ago) and it was very nice then. We were looking forward to the same this time. Not so much.....I had booked late for a busy weekend in Spokane lots of graduations going on so I had to take a smoking room. I was prepared for that but not what we had. The room had torn curtains, stained (badly) carpets and it the bathroom the shower surround was broken on the wall. All of the floors were stained and dirty. I so wanted to leave but my husband said no. I had taken some room spray and I was so glad I did. The breakfast was standard motel lite fare. I think that the motel/hotel was purchased since we last stayed there and then they added on and we were in the old section. It was busy and I know that we could not have changed rooms. Will not stay there again

Apple Tree was 100's blocks away from the Convention Center. Poor lighting/overhead fixture broken, cramped spaces, no coffee maker in room, weather was windy and wet so getting coffee from the lobby was very inconvenient and far from our room. Could fool me we had a queen bed - it was more like a double. No extra pillows, blankets or towels were provided (get what you get). After many tries, we finally connected to their WiFi but we could only read e-mails and were unable to send or search. Horrible sleeping hearing other's toilet flush and taking showers. Appearances were deceiving - after a fit-full three night stay, we will never recommend or return again.

This hotel was clean but fairly far from the freeway. The staff was very nice and the continental breakfast was pretty decent.

I've been staying here when I visit Spokane and Never Had Any Problems. The Rooms Are Always Clean, bed Comfortable And Staff Is Nice. Plenty Of Shops And Great Location Away From Downtown A Few Miles Away, so Just A Short Drive The Hotel Is Right Off The Street, so Traffic noise Is A Slight Issue, but If You Turn On The A/C OR Heater, you Won't Hear It Much.

Stayed here with my family while visiting my father. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Convenient northside location. Big rooms. Nice pool. Very close to lots of shopping and restaurants.

Had a good experience, Staff were very apparent, They check on rooms atleast 2 times a day to clean which was nice.

the rooms were small and bed comfort was lacking. I would not stay at this motel again. OK for a one nighter but nothing more. Breakfast was lean. Try someplace else if you can.

The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and responded very quickly for our request for a crib. The accommodations were exactly what we needed for our group. My sister and I were traveling with our kids and we enjoyed getting to stay in the same room and it was cheaper than reserving two rooms. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The housekeeping staff must work very hard to clean all the rooms so well. We stayed in the family suite. I accidentally reserved a smoking room but when I called the hotel they were happy to change my reservation for a non-smoking room. We were not there long enough to try the pool. The breakfast was basic but we were not expecting much either. The location is not close to downtown but I think it helped keep it quiet. We would stay here again for sure.

Strictly economy stay. OK for over-night stay but do not plan on extended stay if you want to feel comfortable. Small rooms.

Room was small, bed comfortable but the pillows flat, nothing on the walls and the small room exaggerate the claustrophobic feeling. I would not stay there again.

Nice and inviting staff is very nice also . no complaints

Very. Nice the staff especially were top notch helpful in every way needed. This hotel is better then a lot of 3 stars in Spokane . This hotel is ran smoothly and it shows !! Thanks a bunch Malana

The good: great price, friendly staff, clean rooms with Internet, incredible hot showers! The not great: noisy traffic outside depending on the room you get. This is not the newest, latest or greatest, but great value for the price.
