We enjoyed a clean well kept room with comfortable beds, easy access to a rollaway bed for the young one.Friendly hotel manager who helped us with our needs. They served a continental breakfast with plenty of variety, and fresh hot coffee. Little tv lounge area with table seating was also in nice condition. This place has easy highway access.
Stayed with husband and 1.5 year old for one night. Upon arrival was told they do not have cribs despite querying this beforehand so we had to make do with taking the mattress off the bed. The room itself was fine, quite big and seemed clean although there was a slight smell of stale smoke as though it was an old smoking room. The hotel also smelled strongly of cannabis in the lobby when we arrived. Conveniently there are shop and restaurants right across the road
The night receptionist was rude and not helpful. The dresser and the sink was broken. The bath tub was dirty and had most likely cigarette burns or similar marks. Very unprofessional management
I have been here to this property several times since 2008. It has gotten a major face-lift this time around. Rooms are redesigned and look great! Right next to a mall which gives great options for dining and shopping and easy access to the interstate.
My son and I had a great stay at this hotel. It was clean and the staff were extremely nice. The morning breakfast is not fabulous and does not offer a great variety, but it works. The only problem I had during our stay was that the hotel lost all power, with alarms going off continuously on an early Sunday morning. There were no lights in the bathrooms, which made it somewhat dangerous trying to take a shower. The woman at the front desk did everything she could to stop the alarms and rectify the situation, but she was unable to do it. People swarmed to the front desk confused and angry, with many leaving the hotel. I observed this lady call over and over the manager, as well as the owner, trying to get some assistance, with ultimately gaining very little help in that department. She was unable to print out receipts for the customers leaving, and apologized profusely for this. She asked if she could email my receipt to me, and I instantly said that was fine and received it within an hour after our departure. She was wonderful and worked hard to fix the problem, and kept a gracious attitude when dealing with some irate customers. She was doing everything she could do to keep customers happy. I do feel that the manager's and owner's lack of concern for the ordeal was very irresponsible, and was not fair to leave the burden on this women's shoulders. Other than this episode, our stay was good and affordable.
Since I sold my home in Brockton, MA, I have been visiting once or twice a month . I always stay at Super 8 at Westgate. They have smoking rooms. The Hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. A little disappointed this trip around. Motel 6 is right next door and is less expensive but is a non-smoking facility, therefore I prefer Super 8. Being Memorial Day Weekend, I know rates were increased everywhere. I was planning on staying Friday and potentially on Saturday. At Motel 6, I would have received a significant discount for staying 2 nights - again though, this is a non-smoking hotel. I stayed at Super 8 Friday where I had a reservation - to my dismay, when I checked in, they did not have any smoking rooms - even though my confirmation says smoking. When I went down Saturday to reserve for another night I was told they were all booked up. I ended up going to Motel 6 - didn't matter at that point that it was non-smoking cause I couldn't get a smoking room at Super 8 . Further aggravating me was the fact that I would have saved $34 per night by staying at Motel 6 for both nights. This is not an issue that would keep me from staying at Super 8 - I have enjoyed my other stays there - but please, be forthcoming and don't tell me I can have a smoking room and then tell me the opposite when I get there,
Even though I had a nonsmoking room I could smell the cigarette smoke in my room, air conditioner did not work, vulgarity written on the remote.
Actually, I have stayed here twice over the past year, and each time has been a pleasant one. The rooms are clean and up to par. All of the staff have been helpful and very pleasant! The only area I can see improving is breakfast. Maybe adding some more hot items? For example: scrambled eggs and bacon? Or waffle station? Other than that I have zero complaints.
Dogs barking on the room next door, weed smell mainly at night AT THE RECEPTION! It was so bad it was amusing. Toilete dirty at arrival, no extra pilows nor blankets. Wi-fi was awesome!
stairway smelled like weed cigarette burns in the top blankets and when I called down for internet password the guy told me then bang goes the phone was a little on the rude side
