Out of all the times and hotels I’ve stayed in South Padre Island for a fishing trip I’ve never experience a hotel as bad as this one. So disgusting! The bed sheets and walls had siemen and they were dirty. Do they not have housekeepers!!! I’d rather sleep on the sand beachside without a blanket then in that hideousness. I got kicked out for complaining. Don’t stay here. The beach was nice dou.

Air con was dripping water in the bathroom all day

Parking lot spaces extremely crampt .. greater difficulty getting in or out .. absolutely no wash towels.. a/c did NOT cool down room at all.. 😕

The only thing good is that is was next to where the kids could go fishing, but overall it needed updating and the staff was rude.

The room was dirty, the doors to the small closet had dust bunnies and dirt all over them as well as the all the curtains of the room. The wiring of the lighting above the bed were exposed. The tv was in and out of service all weekend. When I checked out I brought it up again to the person at the counter attending the customers, he said that he's brought it up to management several times and that he always gets complaints about those same reasons. He also said that it's what happens when I get something cheap. I told him that's not why I stayed there it was cause everything else was booked and it was a last minute trip. He help my deposit until the roomed was checked by the cleaning staff. I told him why do I have to wait if that same staff is not cleaning the rooms properly. He said that's what it was and I just have to wait. I had also brought it up to housecleaning twice about the dirty rooms and they also refused to give me clean towels. I could not get any until Sunday morning before I left.

Misread my credit card and cancelled my room without so much as a phone call or email. Lucky to find a wonderful room at the La Quinta South Padre.

The pool was horrible and dirty . The rooms were nice and clean , but warm even with the air set on 65 .

Bad news: Internet worked for about the first 3 hours I was there, and since I was on the island for a weekend certification workshop it was annoying and inconvenient that I did not have the internet as research resource. My instructor was sending emails with important information that I could not access, and I was not able to check in to my flight the night before I was supposed to fly out (I got to the airport in time to check in personally so that point isn't a huge issue, but it was an unnecessary additional stress on top of not being able to access course material). The only problem I had regarding comfort was that the bed only had a sheet and some sort of polyester decorative sheet (just as thin and obviously intended only for decoration) to keep you semi-warm (made it work by adjusting my thermostat). Good news: When I checked in the lady at the front desk was polite and very helpful. The room was very clean and spacious (1 bed, 1 couch). I'm a stickler about cleanliness in hotel rooms, and mine was well cleaned despite other reviews I read regarding that point so I was pleasantly surprised. The complimentary breakfast was good (cereal, fruit, waffles, coffee) and got the job done by keeping me full until lunch. I was on the island for the island, not the room, so my review is geared towards my purpose there. It was a comfortable enough place to stay with a pretty waterside view out back and within walking distance to the beach.

The picture of the hotel (motel) did not match at all. Had a good stay but still.

The room has everything one needs to have a good night sleep. It is suprisingly quiet and the beddings are clean. The aircon unit was working well. We were not expecting any breakfast for the price we paid but there is a very simple breakfast. If you want to save some money while on vacation...book a room here. :-)

It's okay if you are not going to be in the room much! Decent price for Spring Break and less expensive deposit compared to other places. Cracks in the walls and dirty sheets was the issue. Up to date fixtures but the room could be maintained better.
