This hotel was a great place to stay. It was close to the beach, had a great staff, and you couldn't beat the price. Luis in the breakfast room was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and always pointed us towards things to do or see. We'll definitely use the Ramada again.

The staff was not very friendly everyday we had to ask for our towels never left any in the room called for someone to come check the TV twice the first day because we couldn't get it to work and no one showed up or called back had to figure it out ourselves. There was one person who worked in the cafe his name is Luis he is customer service all the way told you what there was to do around the island. Very happy guy all the time made you feel comfortable. We always looked forward to seeing him... the locals do not care about anything when they stay there party all night. I would only recommend because it's close to beach.

The fold out couch was so disgusting I wouldn't let my kids even touch it after we opened it and saw how bad it was! There were needles in the parking lot. The entire hotel stunk like pot! They let other people not even staying at the hotel park there and when we told them we had nowhere at this facility to even park they said well that sucks! Never again! If this is the only hotel available on the island we would go to Corpus! This is not a family setting at all! Plus the beds are so uncomfortable none of us got any sleep, so we were completely exhausted the entire time!

Very nice hotel. Clean rooms close to the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Older hotel needs repairs. Good breakfast with great help. Would stay again.

Ok, on a trip to South Padre Island, Texas to check out some hotels here, for upcoming Winter stays. Stayed at 3 places so far, and this Ramada is the best--I'm staying at lesser-expensive properties, you understand. This Ramada has two large playground areas for kids, a full-size basketball court (outdoors), an area with shuffleboard & volleyball courts, next to their private walkway to the beach. A good-sized pool, with many chairs & lounges around, in a walled-off area, outdoors but sort-of sheltered, built into the south side of the hotel itself. Two second-floor patio areas, with chairs, tables & lounge chairs. A conference room, near the breakfast area, which is really quite nice--a staffer is there all the time & serves patrons who come down for free breakfast. This Ramada caters to Snowbirds, or "Winter Texans," who come & stay for a couple of months during the Winter. People I talked to come back, year-after-year, they like it here, and the cost per month is really quite reasonable--if you get a room for a month, I guess state law says they cannot charge sales or hotel taxes, or those pesky "resort fees" that hotels often tack on, so the Snowbirds flock here! Conference room hosts activities for the Snowbirds. Ok, my room itself was quite nice, for a lesser-expensive hotel/motel. Small table & 2 chairs, small desk, loveseat, refrig., microwave, coffee maker, separate rooms for bath/commode & sink/vanity. Quite serviceable, I plan on returning

Enjoyed everything except a high pitch whistling sound from refrigerator. Everything else was great and made my vacation fun with my little boy! Ps it would be nice if they could carry and set up your umbrella for you after renting it from them.

The management is horrible. They don't know who is who. We have reserved hotel in advance. When we checked in, they could not find my name. When we found the email proof of our reservation, they found my name with whom they have already checked in. They probably misunderstood my name with another one and put me into the room someone was already there. The picture on the website is confusing. Their walkway is outside facing the open air, not like the other hotels the walkway of which is inside the building.. It is very dangerous, There is no carpet in the room. The floor is not clean and sticky. We also found there is no running water sometimes. Probably the worst hotel experience of mine.

room stunk of mold. the AC unit was pumping out the smell of damp and mold. I also woke up with bites all over my lower back. I was really surprised a Ramada was in such poor condition.

We had a very nice room with full kitchen. Staff is great. This is my favorite place to stay because of easy beach access and pet policy. Recently remodeled and updated. Super value!

Very comfortable and large double queen room with a convertible couch, mini fridge and microwave. A half block from the ocean side of the island, with a private path to the beach. Ocean view from back side of building and two small decks on either end of the building with pub tables to sit out with your coffee in the morning or watch the sunset in the evening with a glass of wine. We got an incredible deal mid-week during off season (Oct-Feb) that couldn't be beat. The only thing that wasn't first rate was the complimentary breakfast. No hot food other than a do it yourself waffle and bowl of oatmeal. Only fruit was apples. For the price, I could afford to have a great breakfast at Pier 19 ,which I also highly recommend. I'm definitely coming back.

The gentleman who was making waffles in the morning was so courteous and welcoming. I loved his amazing spirit. This was the only good thing about our stay besides the beach location. We arrived at almost midnight to a very very hot room. Even after turning it down to 66 (which is way colder than I have it at my house) the room never got comfortable. There wasn't a single trash can in our room. The drain plug to the tub was broken. The Kleenex box cover was broken, fell on its own and nearly fell on my son's foot. There was a hair in the tub. The toilet didn't flush right unless you held it all the way down the entire time. There was sand in my bed when I first climbed in. The lack of attention to detail in cleaning the room was very obvious. I'm glad we only stayed one night. I will not ever go back. The proximity to the bed was good. There were hardly any people on the beach when we got there. It was a good location.

This place was perfect. I had travel for 14 days all through Texas, from Amarillo, big bend, San Antonio and then south padre island. I was so relaxed. Everyone was perfect! They should all be like this!

Overall the hotel was nice. Good for families that like to be around other families. Hot consistent water for bathing, clean linens and reasonably quiet aftet 10pm. I wss surprised that prvate beach access was available. It was somewhat of a walk, but much better than driving to a public access. Breakfast is mainly cereal and waffles. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This was a great place to stay, the breakfast was continental

I was comfortable in my environment . But the hotel as a whole just really needed a make over

It was a great stay. Only wish they had umbrellas and chairs on the beach for the hotel quests. The staff was sweet and helpful. Look forward in staying again.

The floor was dirty, sink faucet was broken, had been painted and was done poorly, cheap towels, long walk to beach, breakfast was poor for price, a few doors down the Holiday Inn was far superior for not much more. WAY overpriced even for being close to beach.

Wi-Fi in the evening was abysmal. The only negative about the hotel.
