King room was always immaculate, friendly staff, enjoyed the buffet - breakfast, lunch and dinner —and the restaurants. The evening entertainment was one of the consistently best I’ve seen at an all-inclusive resort. Performers were attractive, well rehearsed and polished, costumes were nicely executed. Disco theme was lots of fun, all the performers contributed to an entertaining show that night because they were also having fun. The Mask was a stand out.

Outdated! Entire property needs renovations. From the 2 person elevators that look and sound unreliable, to broken tiles, smelly rooms and grimey floors. The bridge to the beach has caution tape in many places. Beach loungers are terrible and need to be replaced. Sewer odors near the beach and pool. Our group agreed we will never visit a Princess property again.

My main worry was I have a cane and they wanted me to walk a quarter mile to the gate because I didn't get a taxi that's within the syndicate which is ridiculous, however they did let my guy in as I said I would give a bad review. I did see quite a few people waiting at the gate. The buffet was average probably the least selection I've had in my four years of coming to Playa. The people that work there are extremely nice and helpful the beach is beautiful but a little rocky which is normal for this area. The restaurants are closed in there and we're very good for dinner And the pool was very nice and not too crowded. My main drawer to the hotel was the price it is very cheap.

The whole entire resort needs serious updating. Staff was friendly, food was good. Entertainment was boring. Beach area was rocky, and not enough lounge chairs. We asked the DJ to play some Mexican music, and was told NO! Are we not in Mexico?! I will not be going back.

Everything was great. The bellboy greeted us by name every time we passed, the rooms were cleaned and restocked, the food was plentiful, various, and hot. We've been back to PYP three times and love the place. The food is fabulous. There are 5 sit down restaurants in addition to the buffet, a grill and bar in the beach, and a taco stand by the main pool. The drinks and waiter service throughout the resort are excellent. The junior deluxe swim out rooms are the best. The beach is lovely with lots of shade. The entertainment is top notch too. The highlight, however, is the staff. They are so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. wait to go back again.

I liked my room. It was nice and clean. The property is nice overall. Food was just okay for me though they do have 6 restaurants, I didn’t get to try them all. I loved the beach. Staff did a great job keeping it clean and free of seaweed. The downsides for me were: I couldn’t relax on the beach without getting hounded every 2-5 minutes by someone (not hotel staff) offering massages, activities, buying handmade things and just the annoyance of workers passing by in loud tractors or ATVs. I understand people have jobs to do, but I definitely couldn’t really truly enjoy the beach in peace. Keep that in mind but I suspect all the resorts are likely this way. I would probably stay here again nonetheless because staff is friendly and the resort is nice. I felt safe as a solo traveler.
