The rates are high so I used Marriott points to stay here. Nice, conveniently located hotel, right off of the 280 highway. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The staff seems to be efficient and very pleasant.
Stayed here for a couple of nights moving the kid back to college. The location is fine if you want access to the Westfield mall or that general area. The area seems to be pretty safe and clean but traffic can be pretty busy, at all times it seems. The units are clean and quiet as well. I guess my only issue would be the dated décor which is most apparent in the kitchens. In all, nothing major negative or positive.
Got in late from GA and needed somewhere close to SJC so we could get up early and go to the Winchester Mystery House (which is near hotel too). Hotel was clean & had nice furnishings/decor for our family of 3. Breakfast was a nice bonus and of course my daughter loved the Belgium waffle maker, they even had Nutella!
I am working in San José CA for several months....regular hotel not a good option for me....my wife found the Marriott Town place suites in Cupertino.....wonderful place....very friendly and helpful staff....excellent location off the freeway....free breakfast....gym....nice pool.....barbecue grills....plenty of parking.....full kitchens.....cheaper than a hotel for me.....daily cleaning.....very clean place......
The room was decent, albeit a bit small, but the location was really challenging. There is no light at the turn in and it's In between two major intersections. Leaving or arriving during rush hour is a pain as cross lanes of traffic is nearly impossible.
First off very hard to find..small sign. Very clean well decorated rooms. It is very urban so there is no place to walk or get fresh air. My major complaint is the breakfast.. same hot food every day..fried egg and sausage. Packaged plastic type muffins ( same flavors every day). This is a hotel meant for longer stays ..why would the hotel not offer a variety,?? I don't even eat pork. So the little things matter and the hotel is not making an effort to provide excellent service to their guests. The disappointment stays with you.. very turned off by the brand now.
Overall, everything was just ok. Arriving at 10 pm, had to wait for the agent to come to the desk to unlock the outside door. Check in was efficient and uneventful, Our room was in an adjacent building away from the breakfast and other amenities. Trek up to the third floor and discover that both keys were non functional. Leave my family at the door and hike back to the main building where on this occasion I had to wait for a guest with a working key to let me back into the building since again the agent was not around. Agent told me that the keys should have been functional, but nevertheless, she made me a new pair. I love it when someone feeds me a line, considering the fact that I have nearly two decades of experience working in the hotel/hospitality industry and working in just about every position, both non management and management. Returned to the room, where one of the keys actually worked and entered the room. This transaction took about fifteen minutes. Went into the bathroom, which was clean, but had a large pool of water adjacent to the toilet. Room was next to the elevator and had a lot of hallway noise from other guests. Microwave was too dirty to use. Our bed was like a canoe, and reminded me of something you get from a Motel 6. Next morning, returned to the main building to retrieve some breakfast, said good morning to the agent on duty, who was engaged in a personal conversation with someone. He looked at me and said nothing. I don't expect a bonding experience with the staff, especially in Silicon Valley, but a simple acknowledgement would have been nice, considering the fact that the purpose of my visit was that I going to lay both of my parents to rest in a nearby Santa Clara cemetery. And by the way, the breakfast was understocked and lacked certain essential at 8am in the morning. All of this for a best available rate of $230 plus taxes on a Sunday night at the end of February. Really disappointing and underwhelming for a Marriott property. Needless to say, I would not endorse this establishment.
Only needed a room for one night and this place was an excellent choice. Convenient location, clean room, and extremely helpful to have a full kitchen and ironing board available. I wouldn't mind living here even! Only issue was noise from surrounding strip mall next door in the middle of the night.
I had an enjoyable stay here but for a couple of things. They do cut corners and the service provided is not up to expectations. Pros : Very good location. Absolutely enjoyed my evening walks. I stayed in a Studio suite. Served my purpose. Kitchen was well equipped. Comfortable bed, excellent wifi, prompt laundry service. Cons : The suite itself is noisy. I turn on one of the lights in the bathroom and something in the kitchen wall starts humming/buzzing loudly! Turn on the oven lamp and something else makes a scary buzzing noise. They tidy the room only once a week. Breakfast is very minimal.
PROS: Exceptional staff: Every staff member at the front desk was above and beyond helpful and nice! Super clean! Decor: pretty cool with what they did for a tight space. Desk is a bit retro/modern looking, kitchen is small but has what you need for a weeks stay. Bathroom/closet: A Little small, nice full size mirror on the door, closet opens in bathroom all the way through to the kitchen- that's a little weird but its fine. Pillows awesome- soft and firm to choose from Breakfast food: Great good and plenty of food to choose from- full size waffles, could make egg and sausage mcmuffins, yogurt, bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal- and staff constantly cleaning everything up. CONS: Hangers- terrible- but who really cares about hangers unless you are staying a long time. (?) hardly any of our clothes would stay on them so if you can, leave your clothes on hangers when you pack. Bed wicked soft. Breakfast area: The lobby breakfast area is smaller than a small walk-in closet so... Get there right at 7am to avoid the crowd. Otherwise this is the only real con to this hotel. We would def stay here again- So close to everything!!
