We stayed two nights while visiting family in the area. The staff could not be more friendly and welcoming, and we loved our stay. The room was very comfortable and quiet, and we were happy to discover a minifridge and microwave in the room. The complementary breakfast was very extensive, with eggs, homefries, all kinds of bread for toasting, waffles, pancakes, cereal, fruit --- pretty much anything you would want. Free parking is right out back. The hotel is near movies, restaurants, and the lovely city square

The staff was exceptional. Happy and helpful. The facility was a bit dated, but was well kept and clean. The only problem I had was a bad showerhead. More water squirted on the wall than came out the showerhead itself. This caused water to spill over the edge of the tub and onto the floor. Not really a big issue, but if enough water were to spill over, it would get into the carpet and potentially cause a mold issue. I did report this the first day of my stay, but it was not resolved over the 3 days I was there. All in All, I would stay there again.

Staff was great, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate.

Nice and convenient location. There is not much you can do in that town anyway so this being in the heart of town makes a difference

Great place to stay, right down town and convenient

great place to stay at this place in Wilkes Barre PA

Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was right there at Genettis.

I feel like the hotel owners only had $x to spend on renovations, and they spent it on all the right things. Pros -location to downtown (you're already there) -free, secure parking -lounge in lobby -friendly, courteous staff -comfy beds -fridge in room -lots of full length mirrors -microwave in room -nice drapes, bedding etc. -soft lighting -quiet -decent black-out drapes Cons -a bit expensive for the age of hotel and town -lobby is very outdated, creepy butler statue in the corner -parking was tricky to figure out, had to park, check in and then use room key to enter lot

Stayed three nights at this in-town hotel. The staff could not have been friendlier, the room was very comfortable, and the location is one block from the center square of Wilkes-Barre and a range of lively restaurants, bars, and shops. The hotel has some quirky public spaces with Chilhouly-style chandaliers and buddhas. Great breakfast buffet. I would go back!

Friendly staff, convenient location to the Kirby Center.

Friendly staff and clean rooms. I would visit this hotel again.

This hotel itself is perfectly adequate for our trip to Wilkes-Barre - but the other hotel guests were....hard to describe in words. We checked in at 11:00pm on Friday night and waited behind another young woman and older man who were paying in cash and yet they had no luggage. (Will let you draw your own conclusions). Then on Saturday night, there must have been a prom going on at the hotel beause the ceilings and walls shook non-stop until 5am. No sleep whatsoever. We asked for our money back and were told "No."

Fast easy check in. Room was clean and no frills. Needed to stay in town and this was just right.

The room was comfortable. The staff was friendly. This is a very average hotel. But great as an over-nighter

this was our fourth year staying at this location, my daughter attened a swimming event that occurs every year around this time and the hotel location for our needs was fabulous.

Hotel was very clean. Desk personnel was very helpful. Cleaning staff was great and always ready to assist us. Having stayed in some bad hotels this was a pleasant stay. Highly reccomend. Great location for the places we needed.

This was a very nice hotel in close proximity to the Mohegan Sun. We were able to take a taxi for under $20 and be there in about 7 minutes. Would recommend for couples or families who need to stay in the Wilkes-Barre area.

We got in and they had no luggage carriers to bring luggage to our room. Had to hand carry everything. No parking except handicap and they said they would tow our car if we parked in front. Check in young girl did not have a clue about service. Good thing it was only one night.

They gave me a bill at the end of my stay until I showed them that I paid and the bill was $50.00 less than I paid [...] so next time I will call the hotels direct before using [...]

Dear Mark, Thank you for taking the time to review our property and for your compliments to the staff. I would like to apologize for the issue with the shower head, and more importantly that it was not resolved while you were here. I can assure you we are normally much more on our game, but maintenance has since fixed the problem. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see you again soon. Best regards, Gus Genetti

Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to review our property and for your compliments to the front desk staff, especially Shae. We have chosen a more traditional decor for our property as opposed to the more modern look of more hotels these days, so I am sorry you felt it looked unprofessional. I hope you will consider giving us another chance in the future. Best regards, Gus Genetti
