I was told we would be getting a free room at the hotel because we booked 15 rooms between 2 hockey groups. Once we where there they said they didn't have it in an email so we did not receive it. There policy is that if you book 15 you get a free one but because it wasn't in writing it did not happen. very shady !
I can not speak to how busy the hotel is in the summer but it was extremely quiet when we stayed. The halls are very long and nothing special but how much time do you spend in the hallways. What is important is that the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This brings us to the rooms which are very clean, with comfortable beds. I usually do not mention the pillows but for value of the hotel I was surprised at the great pillows they had as well as that queen beds came with four great pillows. Hot Breakfast was included (pancakes, eggs and sausage) not sure if they ever have bacon. Without question it exceeded our expectations.
Whenever in the Sault and on a budget, this is the place to be. Redeem rewards points, it’s a steal for sure. No pool but it’s a small thing...
The staff is very friendly the location is nice the beds are comfy the only thing was the walls needed to be cleaned there was food on the walls
Yesterday I arrived at the Days Inn & Suit in Sault St. Marie. ON. Overall the experience was good. The pro's included friendly and knowledgeable staff, good beds, fridge and microwave, covered parking, and the Soo Blaster. The Soo Blaster is a bar/arcade for all ages. It includes a very spacious floor concept with high top seats, regular seats and booths, dj area, large square shaped bar, lots of TV's, 3 pool tables, multiple arcade games that range from pack man to pinball and many more. Also the bar included 2 digital simulators that cover things like a golf driving range and deer hunting. There are prizes from the winnings in the arcade. The bar also has a cool special menu for each day of the week. Breakfast the next day was continental which was ok. The only Con I have about my experience was that the toilet paper in the bathroom was on the opposite side of the toilet. The hotel was also in the process of moving their lobby to another location which was more wheelchair accessible. Overall, very good and would recommend this location to anyone who asked
i was looking to book 6 rooms at 10:00 PM.This establishment was able to find us rooms at the last minute and helped us out. Will definitely stay there again in the near future.
Went to Sault St Marie to perform in a show. I wanted a nice quiet hotel at a decent price. Entered the room to find that a portion of the ceiling stucco had fallen. The front desk person came and cleaned it up. Next we discovered that there were no windows just a skylight which obviously leaked since it was that water that caused the stucco to let go. Went to bed that night and was woken at 11:00pm to the Boom Boom of heavy dance music. Called down to the front desk only to discover that the music was coming from the hotel bar directly behind the far wall of our room. I went to the bar and no one was dancing. There we very few people in the bar. I asked the DJ to turn it down since no one was dancing and the manager came over and told me that the owner of the bar was the owner of the hotel. I guess that was an explanation. Regardless it was a terrible stay. The post said 3.5 to 4 stars. Maybe in a third world country but in my books its a 2 star at best. Dont stay there. The breakfast isn't worth it.
I had a very quick trip to Sault Ste Marie and booked Days Inn via Bookings. The room was excellent and location fantastic for my business. As well they had no problem for me doing a late check out.
The staff was kind, thoughtful & courteous. We had a beautiful room and a great breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel
The hotel and the room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, decent location. We stayed in the king suite with jetted tub. Biggest disappointment was that they were air jets so the bubbles were more for show, however the tub was a great for soaking the road travels away. Breakfast had great options!
