Poor support from Wyndam when using points for one of two nights. Destination gets a 3. Booking process using points gets a 1.
The hotel was fine. Nice and clean and the staff helpful. Not in the best area and listened to a couple of arguments out on the street at night.
We were not impressed with breakfast. Lack of swimming pool or at least hot tub. No where to find advertised in the elevator sauna. But room and bathroom very clean and to the standard expected from Days Inn hotels.
The motel in conveniently located near the water and the station mall and the downtown area. We arrived early and just wanted some local information, like a brochure or map, to enable us to visit some local points of interest before we could check in. We were very surprised to find that the motel had no local information at all. Yet right next door we were able to get a visitor's map of the city with museums and historic sites noted, along with a booklet on the city. The room was clean and adequate, the indoor parking was good, but the motel layout is very odd. The motel is undergoing a renovation which is causing some confusion. There is not much besides the rooms, the garage, the lobby, the breakfast room and a restaurant, which just recently opened. Things are not 100%. The hot breakfast offered scrambled eggs and sausages, packets of dry oatmeal to be made by adding hot water, some cold cereals, and toast, English muffins and mini muffins. The only fruit was small, not great looking oranges. We stayed 2 nights and breakfast was the same each morning.
We had a small room with two double beds for three people. The room was clean but our bed was small for two people and too soft for my liking. We had a nonsmoking room which still smelled like smoke. The front desk person told us the room was a smoking room 10 years ago. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Clean comfortable room & bath. Staff made sure everything met or exceeded our expectations. Very friendly staff.
Pulled the nightstand out to plug in my phone and was not impressed with what was behind there....
This hotel is a nice place to spend the night in Sault St Marie, but no more than that. The service is very pleasant, willing to help all the time, but the halls and rooms could be cleaner. The parking lot's location is perfect, the breakfast is simple but very good (the best experience in this hotel was actually the breakfast). I recommend, but not for many days.
Staff greeted us on arrival hotel being updated underground parking was convenient room was fine. Breakfast average contential style but little selection. No water pressure hard to adjust shower to proper temperature
Hotel needs updated. Girl at counter seemed inconvenienced. Bare amenities, didn't bother to stay for breakfast found something better at Tim Horton's. Very little to do within walking distance.
