Unfortunately I have to say this, I give credit where it's due, they called me because I was to get there late. But the approach gave me goosebumps, there was to be no one at the reception, they would charge my card, and have my door unlocked. Mind you it's was first time ever in Soo, so I didn't even know exactly where I was going. Not safe!! For this reason I didn't show up. Then they end up still charging me ...I think that's unfair.

This property was absolutely horrible. I don't even know how they allow these rooms to be rented. The room we got had such an awful stench and when you enter, its all bad condition. The washroom smells so bad and the tub, sink, and bedsheets are all stained and have cigarette holes. I felt sick after staying there for 30 minutes. Eventually we had to check out immediately. Please never EVER go there. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

The day before I arrived, someone from the hotel called my cellphone and I wondered why they were calling - I never had a hotel call, ASKING if I was going to check in. I thought it was really strange, but when I arrived, I saw how run down the place was and wanted to bolt, but I didn’t. I got to the room and it smelled someone was living there that never bathed, the bed quilt had cigarette burns on it and I could barely move inside the bathroom. I urge anyone not to stay here. It’s really unsanitary and you’d be better sleeping in your car.

This is a cheap motel. It is ok - not somewhere I would jump at staying again, but I wouldn't specifically avoid it either. Would be fine for a 1 night passing through. The microwave and fridge didn't work well, and while they've done a great job replacing the floors there is a lot of work still to do.

I did not expect it to be good when i was looking for motel but this motel was really terrible only one lamb was on and other lambs were not working . Bed was not even clean it was full of dirt even pillows had some kind of blood stains and sofa , bathroom nothing was cleaned properly didnt feel like staying there for a minute . I was travelling from ottawa got stuck in snow thats why i booked this motel just to relax and take rest .At the end , i ended booking this motel which is not even worth to pay 20$ for 80$i would like to get refund for this

Guy at front desk was nice but the rooms where dirty, the bedsheets and towels had stains on them and where not properly washed. And worst of all an entire colony of disgusting cockroaches everywhere. Bathroom in and under everything. They need to bring in an exterminator. Would not recommend and if you do stay make sure you don’t bring in food and check everything before you leave. Will not be staying there again .

The young man in the office was kind and understanding. The room, however, was gross. I had booked a non-smoking room *presuming* it would be smoke-free but it was very not. I have severe allergies to smoke. When I entered the room I was unable to breathe. I knew immediately I would not be able to stay. We also found cockroach carcasses and poop in the drawers of the furniture, there were visible holes on the bedding, and my daughter could see the mold on the shower curtain before even entering the bathroom. I made the mistake of booking a non-refundable price so I lost my money. I requested a refund but was refused. I would think if the information provided by the property states "Bel-Air Motel offers smoke-free rooms", then it should be smoke-free. There is no mention any smoking policy or designated smoking areas anywhere on the booking page. Oh, and there are no carpets. In fact, it looked more like a hospital room than a motel room, except it did not look to have even been cleaned before we arrived. Very stark, smelly, and dirty.
