Chaminade Resort & Spa

I really enjoyed staying at the Chaminade. I only stayed 1 night and didn't use the spa or facilities but the room was super large and spacious and there was a massive flat screen as well. The bed was really comfortable and the overall room was really relaxing. We had a pretty view of the forest, which would have been nice to just sit and have dinner there. We did have lunch at the restaurant and while the staff was great and really accommodating it was pretty expensive. The lady at the front desk was super sweet and even recommended a great spot for us to have lunch (Whale City) which lead us to the most breathtaking beach we'd ever seen and to top everything off it's a shirt drive away from the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. Loved this hotel.

We only stayed one, but hotel was great and use of the Suana and steam room at the spa was a nice added treat.

The updated rooms are beautiful and staff is friendly. We had a fantastic stay! Close to Santa Cruz and capitola.

Our family loved our stay, great room lots of space. We cannot wait to come back Pool was amazing

Had an amazing time. The room was excellent. The lunch buffet was superb. The spa treatment was divine. Definitely a must stay.

Very quiet, however close to Santa Cruz attractions. The hotel has been recently reinnovated so the rooms are brand new and crispy clean. The pool is heated to 88-90 deg., we enjoyed. Buffet breakfast with a good variety, $15. Gym is large and has everything. We'd love to stay again.

This hotel was clean staff was professional and this location wasn't too far away from the beach. The food and beer was great as well

No power in our room for 5 hours. Vallet left car in reverse as my son was getting in and nearly killed him. Phones, tv, and heater didn't work. Good at the resort was horrible. Burnt burgers and bitter spoiled mussels. I'd never stay here again and do not recommend this property for anyone.

Lovely grounds and location. Room wasn't quite up to expectations- very little comforts- old. Event planners, staff, food, and amenities - Outstanding.

Many of the hotels closer to the waterfront are tourist traps. This place is a good price for the amenities and best place I've stayed at by far in that area.

I will never visit this hotel again. They actually gave our room key to some people we didn't know. Unprofessional and understaffed.

hotel staff were super friendly. got an upgrade to a jr. suite!

This was our second stay at the hotel. We had a view of large trees which was nice. Only small area of improvement was that we found a pair of swimming trunks hanging in the window -- my guess is that housekeeping must have missed those when cleaning. Morning buffet is delicious! Don't miss it!

Nice getaway in the hills of Santa Cruz. make sure to get a room close to the reception area and restaurants if you have trouble walking long distances. Perfect for UC Santa Cruz graduation weekend!

Chaminade is a lovely resort on a hilltop with an unconstructed view of the Bay. From the rooms to the spa to the restaurants, you won't find anything better in Santa Cruz. While the rates are higher than most other hotels in the area, the value is also far greater. It's well worth the money.

The staff was very accommodating. The rooms were okay, I wish there was more light in the room and more modern decor. I thought the room would be nicer due to the price I paid. It's nice how it's in a secluded location. Also wished they had complimentary breakfast like other hotels in same price range.

While all the others places nearby were booked, we were able to reserve here in less than 30 days for Labor Day weekend for only Saturday night. The room was clean, simple and very nice. The grounds were beautiful with short hiking trails around us. The breakfast buffet was good and well priced. Great pool (lots of kids), workout room, jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna which complimented our 80 minute couples massage. Mr. Aarron was fantastic, best massage ever. Since the awesome staff knew it was our anniversary they brought us sparkling wine to enjoy while we basked in the view of the surrounding hills. Just 5 minutes from Capitola it was the perfect getaway.

We drove up from Pasadena on the 1. Very long ride. This was perfect place to stay after that long trip. Would 100 percent stay there again!

We love staying at the Chamindade. Their nature trail is beautiful.....you feel like you are far from the city. The only downside is that the $25.00 per person resort fee is mandatory......since we don't use it.
