nice clean room, loved free breakfast. nice staff. only downside was an uncomfortable outdated sofa bed. needs to be replaced(ASAP) maybe a more modern style Futon or alternative option.

Nice hotel. Easily accessible, clean rooms, and quiet hotel. The breakfast buffet had a number of options, which is always nice. Staff were very kind. Overall, a great hotel. Highly recommended!

Comfortable hotel, convenient to highways and within short drive of downtown area. Continental breakfast is decent and convenient. Room was comfortable, Wi-Fi access good and parking included. Chili's to Go in parking lot may was a nice option open until 10:30 for late check-in.

This was a wonderful hotel for myself and our family. All of the staff are smiling and helpful. The hotel is impeccably clean. The breakfasts are very good. Very central location for us as we were about 25 minutes from everything we had to visit.

Little overpriced, but I mean it's California what isn't? Staff was very attentive and nice AND really helpful with local hotspots. The breakfast was good, if you get there earlier than the other guests otherwise it gets really crowed. Overall, pretty good.

I was in San Diego for a training session, and loved that the Hotel was only 5 minutes away. It was clean, the rooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. I was definitely able to get a good night's rest. Oh, and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was very convenient...they offer all sorts of goodies (i.e. oatmeal, tea, cereals, coffee, pastries, etc). Great grab and go food if you're on the run during your stay. An overall two thumbs up!!

Hotel wasn't fancy but was cleaned and served its purpose on what we were looking for. If you need a place to stay near Mirimar this will work just fine.

Good value for the price. Beds are extremely comfortable. Nice complimentary breakfast, selection.

Having been a former resident of San Diego, I purposely chose this Holiday Inn Express as it's located in a large business park area for a secluded feeling. For dining, unless you're a big fan of Chili's you'll have to drive. My personal faves are Opera cafe for lunch for lunch and Karl Strauss for dinner. The hotel itself is comfortable and clean. My room was spacious, with a fairly large HDTV and all the amenities one would expect for a hotel at this price range. Details such as the tip of the tissue in the tissue box being folded into a triangular shape shows that the staff is professional and cares. Unfortunately, I can't recommend staying here if you're looking for a good night's rest, and require absolute quiet. Sadly, the floors and walls are thin. They are thin enough that you can hear the people in the rooms next to you and above walking, talking, and opening and closing drawers. If you either aren't bothered by noise in the least or have quality ear plugs, and want to stay at a comfortable hotel for a reasonable price then this Holiday Inn Express is perfect. Regretfully, I can't recommend staying here simply because you're not paying $100+/night to stay at a place with thin walls like a cheap Hotel 8.

Everything was great. The breakfast was pretty hearty. Room was clean and staff was very friendly. The only thing was that the pillows were too big to sleep comfortably. The hotel is also in a business area so a b little far (10-20 min) from places like Balboa Park or beaches.

The front desk employee, while I cannot remember her name, was amazingly nice and pleasant - she allowed me early check in (like 45 minutes since I arrived early) and also gave me toothpaste when I needed it. I've stayed here in the past and this was the family hotel when I attended UCSD, so thats why I gave it a go for the weekend. Room was nice, clean, warm, AC worked, no problems at all. One thing I'd fix is better pillows, but honestly, what hotel has good pillows? HIGHLY recommend this hotel - you won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed my stay, the room was clean, staff friendly, overall great stay

Nice, clean room. Very helpful staff, elevators worked quickly. A little tough to find parking.

Good business hotel. Perfect location if you are doing business with companies located around Sorrento Valley. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly people. But I think the hotel is a bit too pricey.

The staff at this hotel were extremely cordial and welcoming. The hotel is easy to find, has a decent restaurant next to it, and the continental breakfast was delicious. The location is about 15 minutes from Qualcomm Stadium, 20 minutes from Seaport Village and Gaslamp Quarter, and 10 minutes from UCSD. The room was very clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was a little difficult to connect to, but sufficient.

Best holiday Inn that i ever been too. I do not regularly stay in small hotels or motels but this trip was unplanned and under budget. We found this hotel and stayed here for just one night and the best cheap hotel i had ever seen in san diego.

The place is relatively new and clean, but there are a number of lowbrow touches that are not OK at this price point. The TV is local channels only - not even basic cable, so no CNN or ESPN. There were no towels in the exercise room and the exercise equipment was not well maintained. Not a terrible stay, but for this price I expect better, particularly basic things like cable TV! I would stay again, but only as a last resort.

Stayed 4 nights for a business trip, and was within walking distance of my office on Lusk Blvd. Unfortunately, that's really the only thing it's close to, other than a Chilli's next door. The room itself was nice, and included a fridge, a microwave, and free wifi. Sadly the wifi strength and reliabiity were poor, so ended up using my iPhone as a modem the majority of the time. The staff was very nice and the free breakfast was good.

This hotel was very nice and clean, and the staff was very helpful and nice. It is conveniently located right next to a Chili's restaurant. Not exactly gourmet food, but it is nice to be able to just walk back to the hotel. It is not the best location as you have to take your car to get to any place, but the area is safe, and it was much cheaper than any other hotel on labor day weekend!

Nice, spacious room and very clean.
