We had a very nice stay at super 8 Alamodome.Clean, comfortable and there beds were so comfortable that we over slept and got late on check out. But the staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was awesome and pool was good. Everything was too good expect the price but what you pay is what you get. So not really upset with price.
On this 4 week vacation from the UK my wife and I travelled through many locations having pre-booked accomodation via the website whilst planning our route beforehand. We always ask for '1st. floor, no connecting room' at this stage and usually this request is met on arrival although we are aware that it is down to the motel/hotel. In this case we were told that the only room available was on the top floor with a connecting door !. Over the next 3 days with the exception of a gang of workmen, 12 in number, we only saw one other couple. The car park stayed almost empty the whole time. Puzzled, we checked the website and this showed no shortage of rooms!. What was going on here we don't know but we take a dim view of this situation. All of this is a great shame because the property itself was superb, with internal corridors and had obviously been recently refurbished. The room was clean, a good size, with all the essentials present. Breakfast was up to standard with a waffle machine, toaster and 4 cereals. Coffee and juice were on hand but only one fruit. We can only give a 3 star following the strange affair of the reservation, however.
The bed was really comfortable and worth the stay. The only bad thing about staying in room 114 was the heavy door right outside our guest room: it kept slamming and waking us up. I tried fixing it myself with the magnet that I guess kept it open so it wouldn’t slam but I couldn’t so I just woke up earlier than I intended to. Overall, very good stay.
A cheaper price on the rooms would be ideal. Price of rooms were a bit pricey. Indoor pool could be open longer. Breakfast needs more variety. Staff could be friendlier. Hotel was very clean though.
The room was OK... nothing special. The AC worked well (a plus for San Antonio). The breakfast bar had cold cereal and a waffle machine, and little else. At midnight on a Saturday night, all hell broke loose with a bunch of unruly, LOUD drunks on the 2nd floor in two different rooms. They disrupted my wife and I and made it impossible to get back to sleep for over an hour. Hotel management did absolutely NOTHING about it. And when I complained the next morning, I was told that there was no possibility of a refund or even a discount on a really lousy, miserable night. I'll never stay in this Super 8 again -- ever! A hotel must be decent and QUIET or it is worse than worthless!
everything was great and the staff was very kind and polite we had a wonderful time their , so try it them for yourself
This is a great location on the south side of San Antonio with easy off/on to the I-37 southbound. We have stayed at a lot of Super 8 Motels over the years and this is the best we have seen. Great desk service, lots of parking even with a trail. The place is very well maintained. Price is very reasonable with a nice continental breakfast.
It was a very nice clean place to stay. The only form fall is they should keep the coffee on in the lobby 24/7.
My husband and I had tickets to see ZZ Top & Guns N Roses at the Alamodome. We booked this Super 8 based on price and location. I wasn’t expecting much but this was a beautiful hotel! Overall, this place is ideal for any event at the Alamodome. The lobby was huge and had a very modern look and we loved the colorful breakfast area. When we checked in, they were so nice I felt like we were at a fancy resort! Then the room was 2 x the size we expected and had huge pictures with a really cool Texas or Western theme. We did not get a chance to try the pool, but instead got an uber right away to the show for only 5 bucks. Way cheaper than parking at the concert! After the show we were exhausted and we were even more impressed because that might be the most comfortable mattress ever. I need to find out what kind so I can get for my apartment. We will definitely be back in October for Comic Con!
This property was very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful. Great location. Overall a great experience. Only complaint would be that to pay with cash I had to leave a deposit, but not a deal breaker.
