Best Western Alamo Suites

Hotel overall is old and outdated. Room needs to be renovated and updated. Closet door broken or not aligned properly that it seems it will fall off anytime. Bedroom door connecting to the bathroom and bathroom door make a squeaking sound every time you open. Carpet looks dirty, same with pillow case and curtain. There were mosquitoes flying all over the room in both nights we stayed. I’m pretty disgusted staying and sleeping in the hotel and will not recommend this hotel unless it gets renovated.

Had some fellow guests who let their little kids run loose, but that's not the fault of the hotel. The room and staff were fantastic. We were meeting our niece from out of town, and the separate bedrooms were a perfect accommodation. The front desk clerk was swamped when we checked in, but made sure I remained her focus.

Not a bad place, friendly staff and affordable rooms

Nice hotel with up-beat, trendy restaurants within walking distance. Also enjoyed the heated indoor pool. Only two minors complaints. 1) the breakfast area was a little small and couldn’t accommodate many people. 2) homeless people would come in during breakfast and eat, then stuff every pocket full of food. Don’t know if it’s a hotel or a food bank.

The room fit all 5 of us comfortably. The breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly.

I can't say enough positive things about the service and the room. Friendly front staff, management that cares about the residents. Very clean and quiet rooms. This is a great place to stay for a reasonable price. 1mi(short) walk to Riverwalk.

The room was nice and clean, breakfast was until 10 am so big plus and they had Texas shaped waffles. Right downtown so everything was close by. Few downsides were they had the same breakfast everyday and the hotel is by a dog grooming place so you hear the dogs super early.

My second night was absolutely ruined by a rude, disrespectful manager.

Great front office staff, clean rooms, awesome housekeeping. Lovely room.

room is big and clean...with the price under 100$..it near all location like restaurant and attractions...not far from river walk by driving...nice breakfast

Very happy with this hotel . Good breakfast clean rooms . I would 100% recommend this place and stay here again

The hotel was clean and great service my only complain was the room smelled moldy.

The rooms were up-to-date, neat and clean. Breakfast was filling with variety. There were two bus lines close by which are the best deal in town. VIA has three VIVA bus routes dedicated to tourist attractions. Ride all day for $2.75!!!

When we arrived for late check in and asked about a good place to eat, the lady at the desk gave us a card for a restaurant that never closes that was about 5 minutes away. The card was for a free Sopapilla with our entrees. It was a great recommendation and the service was wonderful. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise since normal continentals don't have the selection of fresh fruits, yogurts, variety breads, juices, cereals, scrambled eggs, sausage and my favorite -- a waffle in the shape of Texas. The pool and hot tub were relaxing as well. Small fitness room, but enough in there for a good workout. The room was spacious and quiet. Would definitely stay there again.

It was a nice experience except for the warn room - the air conditioner was not blowing enough cold air for it being on high. Gladly, we were offered another room.

Older hotel that has had a couple updates but not with the rooms. Our room had a smell. The walls were paper thin and you could hear what everyone was saying/doing. Someone above us kept jumping or running around and that's all we heard. The indoor pool was below us and we could hear people shouting! Our door would not shut on its own so we had to make sure to pull it hard. And small pet peeve...only three towels, two wash cloths and two hand towels for 2 females and one male.

NICE HOTEL LOCATED NEAR THE RIVER WALK THE ALAMO AND TOWER OF AMERICAS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Everything's nice. Just get up early and go to breakfast. It's a small eating area, and the low cost of this hotel brings in larger families. When they decide to finally get up, it's shoulder to shoulder. short walking distance from the hotspots. Good cost. Nice staff. Clean place.

Check in was very unfriendly. Then told me to park in the back and neglected to tell me that there are 5 steps I would need to drag my luggage up to get to the elevator. I could have brought my bag in at check in if she had mentioned this. Very nice double king room with balcony. First night I locked myself out looking for vending machine. Went down to the desk to find it locked with a bell to ring. Rang rang rang for 15 minutes with no answer. Finally found a house phone that calls the desk and someone picked up. Fridge microwave in room. Indoor pool that kids seem to enjoy. No furniture on the balcony so I dragged the desk chair out there. Parking is free which is why I would return and recommend.
