Close to downtown . A pleasant location but really just an old Holiday inn

Pool and games are always good. I reserved a interior facing room and at check in they said they had no interior facing rooms so they put me in a outside facing room on the second floor. Which is what we didn’t want. When we went in the room it had a bad smell. We called the front desk and they said it would be a minute to find us another room. We waited 30 mins. They called back and gave us another outside facing room on the second floor. We walked by multiple rooms with open curtains with interior facing rooms that were empty. I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple time always booked thru orbitz and had no problems with my reservation. But when we told the people at the counter what we booked they told us that sites like orbitz don’t know what’s really available. That I should book the room directly thru the hotel if we want accurate reservations. I use orbitz for the orbitz bucks. So I will prob never book this hotel again.

Property was old and need of renovation. Indoor pool was in same as dining and swelled of chemicals. The amenities were suited for a family with kids. Would not stay there again. The staff that served us breakfast was great. The girl that checked us in was indifferent and not friendly.

Amentities are very good for kids. Staff are nice. Building is just old

Great hotel for families. Indoor pool and golf both in full view from the restaurant. We had a great dinner while the kids swam, both of us had a great time!

Very accommodating but they have a sign about bugs... bed bugs or roaches- I wasn’t sure so that was unsettling.

I booked based off a friends recommendation and it was a better stay than I could of dreamed. My 2 kids ages 3 and 11 loved the pool and games. I enjoyed having everything right there and not being the price of a 5 star big chain hotel. Loved the staff, all very friendly out going people. Will be back next year for the stock show and maybe just for a vacation. :)

Dear Chris, Thank you for taking time to rate our hotel. And you are correct - our hotel was one of the very first Holiday Inn Holidomes in the state of Texas. While we have upgraded the systems and facilities, we have also tried to retain much of the funky, historical vibe. We hope you will stay with us again soon.
