Quality Inn San Angelo

There seemed to be a lot of construction workers staying here. It wasn't a problem. The room was comfortable, clean and price was great! There is a diner on the property and you get a limited menu to order breakfast from for free. My wife said the bacon omelette was excellent.

When we arrived it seemed out of the way but everyplace we visited during out stay was only a few minutes away. The rooms are large, the beds very comfortable, and it was very quiet. We enjoyed a voucher breakfast at the Roxie's Diner next door. There is a huge well lit parking lot with video security. We would stay here on out next trip.

At the low cost of the room per night, with an added bonus of a voucher continental breakfast (very good btw); the room was worth the cost. The cleaning could have been better and the lights are placed in weird locations. Parking is fine, it’s quiet and I slept and that’s basically all that mattered. Internet WiFi supported our Apple TV well enough so that was nice.

This hotel seems a bit older but the rooms were nice. Parking right outside the door made it easy (although we were on the bottom floor, therefore didn't need to climb stairs). The room was clean. The bed comfy. Plenty of counter space which seems to be lacking in many hotels anymore. The only complaint we have is with the breakfast. They give you a voucher for the cafe next door. The waitress seemed irritated to have "another" motel guest. And the portions are for children. Literally a one egg omelet with a little bacon and a sprinkle of cheese. Even in the most basic of motels, you can fill up on cereal. We had wanted to order more off the regular menu but the waitress seemed bothered by us so we left. All in all, we'll probably stay here again on our next trip through.

Six kids, tired husband, grumpy wife check in to the Quality Inn in San Angelo, TX just wanting to get settled and sleep. Seems simple enough, right? Not here. We were given two rooms and drove around the building to them. Upon trying to use the key, it would turn the lock green but the deadbolt was locked from the inside, as well as the lights were on. This wasn't a good "We left the lights on for ya" this was downright annoying and a little creepy. Ok everyone, pile back into the van and drive back to the office. You would think a simple "Oh I am so sorry about that let me get you new rooms" would take place. No. The front desk employee insisted that my husband WALK over to the complete other side of the building and SHOW HER the room that was locked from the inside. First off, this was obviously the wrong customer service move and second, this employee could have been walking right into a dangerous situation had we been creepy hotel killers. It was wrong on so many levels and shocking that we had to prove that someone on their side had messed up. After seeing with her own eyes that the room was indeed not opening, she slowly walked back over to the office to give us new rooms. Sadly the story does not end there. We unload everything and everyone from the van again and when we walked up to the second set of new rooms, one of the doors was open. Unbelievable. After returning to the desk AGAIN, another employee finally apologized and went and looked at another set of rooms before giving us the third set of keys. 3rd time is a charm and the rest of our stay was as normal as could be. The morning employee who gave us our breakfast vouchers was cheerful and kind, which we appreciated after our ruckus the night before. The breakfast offered at the diner is smaller portions than menu portions, but it was good food and service. Other than the lack of quality customer service, we had an ok stay at this place. Still shaking my head at the desk employee insisting she walk with my husband clear across the parking lot to the other side of the building to verify that the room she gave us was troubled. It would have been so much better for her to just apologize and get us into new rooms right away.

The room is in great shape and design for the property. We were placed in Room 236, king size bed with a sleeper sofa, coffee table, desk/chair with a lamp that has outlets. The outlets are quite loose so I used the wall outlet by the desk. There is a refrigerator but no freezer section, microwave, coffee maker...the normal amenities expected. Breakfast is the restaurant (Roxie's Diner) that sits next to the hotel. It was pretty busy when we made it in and we were glad a few tables were available. The service is quick and friendly. We chose option 1 and option 2 and split it. Option 1 is two eggs, two bacon or sausage, and toast. Option 2 is two pancakes. The pancakes are very thick. The bed is comfortable. We slept pretty good. The top outlet next to the sofa is loose, it may be prudent to replace them. The room is nicely appointed with mirrors and lights. The a/c works great! The only complaint is NO local network channels, no ABC, CBS, or NBC. You can't watch local news, or any shows you might enjoy on these channels. They offer a plethora of other channels through Direct TV.

My sister and I just left Port Aransas ahead of manditory evacuation for Harvey the Hurricane. We are heading home to Denver, and stopped here in San Angelo at the Quality Inn. Really comfortable bed and pillows, lar g e room! We ot a king room so it had a couch too. Then Roxie dinner is where you have breakfast by where you check in. Do yourself a favor. You won't be sorry!!!

As with many older motels, this one is past it's prime. Mostly workers stay here now. Rooms had been redone and it was clean and quiet. Best part was the free breakfast and the little café that ajoins the property. It's THE place were many ranchers come eat and meet. Food was great and the atmosphere was even better--it was fun seeing real ranchers with their 10 gallon hats and boots!

Clean, fair price. beds had 4 pillows each. A/C worked well. But the best part was the breakfast at Roxie's Diner that was on the premises. A real breakfast is included in the price. The diner was clean, fast, and had a very attentive and courteous staff.

The room was quite large and clean with great pillows. The staff was pleasant and made suggestions of things to do in the area which I did not have time to check out. Although located on a busy thoroughfare, my room (on the "far" side) was quiet. One gets a chit for free breakfast at Roxie's next door but that too I missed out on. Perhaps next time. Since the refrigerator didn't have a freezer unit, I can't complain about it not being defrosted. I wonder which is worse!
