Parkhotel Stuttgart Messe-Airport

Modern clean and spacious

Everything impeccable. One problem was the heating system. The heater did not work or barely worked. It was turned off itself midnight. The temperature was not controlled at all.

ibis Styles Filderstadt Stuttgart Messe

Great value, and helpful staff

Traveling alone spent three nights here using it as a base location for visiting Porsche and Mercedes Museums in Stuttgart and the Hohenzollem Castle. The slightly off the beaten track location didn't bother me as I had a car and GPS got me there easily. There did seem to be public transportation (bus service) nearby. As others have mentioned the location is somewhat industrial but there is one local restaurant within easy walking distance with good food and friendly service. The hotel manager gave me a discount coupon for the restaurant and when I absent-mindedly left my credit card at the table they called the hotel right away and held the card until I could walk back. Small town caring personal service in the best sense at both the hotel and the restaurant. The hotel has a small bar in the lobby where people gather and when I returned very late one night from sight seeing not having eaten dinner the desk attendant/bartender went above and beyond, offering to heat up a frozen pizza from the kitchen that wasn't part of their snack assortment. Another personal act of kindness that was greatly appreciated. The accommodations are exactly what you'd expect at a Best Western. Clean and simple. The A/C worked fine but it took a couple of tries to figure out the controls. Free wireless internet was reliable. Room and bathroom were clean and, as mentioned, the staff was very helpful. There is street parking and a clean private garage across the street that the hotel charges 10e per night for. Breakfast was self serve buffet style from 5a to 10a with lots of good choices both hot and cold. This is the perfect value airport hotel that provides personal service and basic amenities. The location gives it character, makes it more personal and makes it a good value.
