Very good location, couple of minute walk from both Metro,Ubahn and bus stops. Tall, modern hotel building. Great rooms with nice views from the upper floors, rooms well furnished and pleasant bathrooms. Efficient staff, clean and well run establishment. Great breakfast, very good evening meal, however the menu was a bit limited.
Wonderful location with super easy access to public transpo (downtown and airport). Gym is sufficient but nothing great. On the flip-side, the pool/spa area for relaxation after a long day is simply fantastic - just remember that European/German spa culture involves your birthday suit. Rooms are not large but comfortable enough. Breakfast is wonderful.
I was a bit disappointed by the check-in - the front desk employee who helped me didn't seem too friendly. Rooms were nice. The breakfast was ok - I've had better, especially as a vegetarian. The breakfast salon is very nice though. Location is perfect, next to the train station. I wouldn't mind staying again but to me, there are better options in the city.
Stayed just the one night on a trip between Salzburg and Cologne. Really impressed with Reyhan Erata (apologies if spelt incorrectly) on reception. Great customer service during check in and check out. Room average but clean and spacious. Double bed the most comfortable I have slept in ever at any hotel! Blissful. If we return to Stuttgart, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Easy train links into the city. Safe and secure parking underneath hotel. Didn’t use restaurant or spa so can’t comment.
Well-run hotel, easy walking distance to a commercial district with nice restaurant and cafe options. It's right next to the train station, so it's easy to escape. Hotel is charmless but well-organized, perfectly German.
I have stayed at this hotel almost 100 nights in the past 3 years and it is such a shame to watch its demise. Originally a fantastic old fashioned hotel with big old keys and fobs that you left at reception and a safe in the room with 3 dials and letters to make a word for your security this hotel was great. The tv has several sport channels and the air con purred away to keep your room just the right temperature. The wi fi was rock solid wherever you were even in the lifts ! Well a lot has changed in the past 3 years. There is now no sky sport channels to watch (5 channels have disappeared even though they are still portrayed to be available on the laminate by the tv). The keys have been replaced by the cheap and nasty plastic ones you get everywhere The safes are no longer operational even though they’re still in the room The air con just seems to have stopped functioning The WiFi works as often as the air con and continually drops from your phone/lap top. So much so that on my visit last month I was charged £12 by Vodafone for a 4g face time made to my daughter from my room !!! There is no doubting that the hotel still has very comfortable beds, astute and apologetic staff (they obviously get a lot of complaints these days), and that the food is excellent. I would normally compliment the bathroom but this time the sink had a hairline crack across it. It Is such a shame that such important things have been taken away by Accor probably because they want to save 5 euros a night on the costs of cable tv, wi fi etc... No manager wanted to speak with me about these things on my first nights stay there last night so I doubt they even care like they used to... the person on reception was suitably apologetic and even told me he was not aware they had deleted the sky sports channels from the tv... this was after he had 1) given me my 4th plastic room card because the first 3 had not worked (I went up and down in the lift 3 times with no success) “this has never happened before sir” and 2) fixed the wi fi on my phone which lasted about 5 minutes What a shame and it just goes to show you how quickly a fantastic almost boutique hotel can be changed into an Ibis in such a short space of time... Very disappointing......
We stayed here while visiting our kids and grandchildren. The experience was unusually good from the beginning. I made a mistake in a "non changeable" reservation. Rather than just cancelling the first day, they cancelled the whole thing and allowed me to book it again. Their app allows priority check in and the front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming as was the wait staff in the lounge. The rooms were very clean and the maids were great. One note, the beds are advertised as queens but Americans would consider them doubles so be careful as the kings are not much larger. The TV programming was sub-par but we didn't care as we weren't there to watch TV. The hotel is located right next to the Vaihingen station with easy access to the S-bahn, U-bahn and buses. It is a fifteen minute ride to downtown Stuttgart and the trains run every 10 minutes. The center of town is just a short walk through a lovely park to lots of shopping and restaurants. We used basic internet and it was perfectly fine. I would stay here again with no hesitation whatever.
This was my second stay at the Pullman and it did not disappoint. Great location for getting to downtown Vaihingen on foot. Room had a great view of the Stuttgart region. Service was excellent; room furnishings were acceptable. Price was reasonable. I would stay again. Breakfast was not included in my rate but I had it one morning and it was excellent.
located far from the city centre, but with good bus, trolley and metro connections. vaihingen city centre is 5 minutes walking, where several bar, restaurants and shops can be found the hotel has a certain age, the decoration can look a bit old fashioned, however it is very well maintained there is a parking under the building, addequeate for big cars, with a cost of 18 euros per day, but also parking space in the street (fee to be paid in the machines) the receptionists were polite but not very well trained (perhaps the weakest point of the hotel) the room size was a bit in the small side, specially the bathroom. however, the property has kept good maintainance and the eqipment was good, a minibar, a safety box, a kettle with tea and coffee sackets, bathrobes, slippers, good bed, windows that can be opened and very clean the air conditioned in the room was poor soundproofing was very good. no inside or outside noises were herd dogs are accepted for 12 euros per day the free wifi was good the hot and cold breakfast buffet was very good the hotel restaurant seemed to be expensive for dining, with average quality the lobby bar is opneed till 1 am and offers sandwiches and snacks. this is a good point the spa was good. the indoor swimming pool had enough size and good temperature. the sauna area (nude zone) had ajacuzzi, steam room and sauna plus a relaxing area facing the gardens referred to value for money, i think that a price for a double room not exceeding 150 euros is fair i would probably return to this hotel when going to stuttgart and not needing to stay in thecity centre
This is a business class hotel, right next to Vaihingen train station, which is a 14-minute ride from Stuttgart main station. A 1-day travelcard, taking you to Stuttgart, will cost 7-euros. The hotel oozes quality, with high quality fittings and good sized bedrooms. There's a really nice spa/pool area on the 1st floor, included in the room rate. First impressions weren't good though. I had booked my room through the hotel's own website, received the confirmation email from them, yet when I checked in, they tried to charge me 18-Euros more than what I'd been quoted. When I complained, they said it was because my rate hadn't included breakfast... so I showed them their own email, clearly stating "1 x Breakfast included". So... just check what they charge you when you check in. (As a software developer, how is it possible that their own systems show the customer one price, but tell the receptionist a different price ?!) The bedrooms are a good size, with air conditioning, but I had to turn mine off at 4am as it sounded like my fridge was being strangled. Apart from that, you don't hear noise from the train station outside. Oh, and the WiFi connection was excellent. The breakfast was to die for. A lovely choice, and good to see them using little wafer pots to put your jam/sauces in, rather than plaster. Clever, that. One last thing: the hotel parking is 18-Euros a day. Ouch. Even for Stuttgart, that's pretty rough.
