I was disappointed that I couldn't stay for more days due to the full booking situation during that period. But, it was definietely a surprise pleasure for me to receive an e-mail information that my room is upgraded. Even though I stayed for just one day, I experienced a good time.
Clean, updated room. Wonderful location. Steps away from main pedestrian thoroughfare. In Germany, you often get comforters instead of blankets and sheets. They have a small day spa on the top floor which includes an indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and changing room. Be warned, parts of the facility our coed and clothing optional. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again.
I have been continuously going to Stuttgart on business since 1992. The Graf Zepellin is number one.
Stuttgart is a fairly ugly, boring, functional city, and this hotel matches it. There is little reason to complain -- the rooms are comfortable, the staff is nice -- but it adds nothing to your experience except convenience if you happen to want to be in the centre of town. It's basically a gussied-up pitstop, totally placeless and forgettable (not to mention fronting a massive traffic channel with good access to the highways and train station). It's nonetheless probably one of the better hotels in Stuttgart, but unless you really need to overnight, it would be better to invest your money in a nicer hotel in Baden-Baden, Heidelberg, or even Schwäbisch Hall and visit Stuttgart as a day-trip.
Things like breakfast cost a considerable amount for the overall price of the hotel. The staff were excellent, and I think if you're more oriented toward business travel the amenities would make more sense.
The Steigenburger Graf Zepplin is conveniently located and had excellent service and facilities. It assisted me to meet my relatives during this visit. I would stay there again and highly recommend it to others.
Nice clean and newly re-modeled room, but they got the air conditioning all wrong. We had the air cranked, but it was still very warm in the room at night. We were on a low floor so we could not open the windows. Good location right across from the main train station.
Very nice place, spacious and quiet room despite telling management that people smoke on non-smoking floor, it continued
