The hotel is located in front of Stuttgart’s main train station und easy to access by public transport. The room is very comfortable and although the hotel is in a rather noisy area, it is really quiet at night. Moreover staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay at Steigenberger Graf von Zeppelin very much.
Very well situated hotel just near railway station,S station and Ustation offering high standard of quality and service..Pedestrians streets are just near with a very large choice of stores restaurants museums etc...
Generally, it's a nice hotel and excellent location. Room was clean. However, the size seemed small and the amenity was incomplete(checked in 2 people but only supplied 1 person on the first day) and we had to call housekeeping to re-stock the amenities. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.
This was our first visit to Stuttgart and it was to see the Christmas markets. Hotel was a great location, across the street from the train station. The staff was exceptional, friendly, helpful, provided great suggestions where to eat and directions to the market. Room was very nice and had plenty of room to store our luggage and not trip over them. Fantastic breakfast, the largest selection of food we found on our trip. There was even fresh honey dripping from honeycombs by the breads (we were told there was a bee hive on the roof that provided the honey). Centrally located and an easy walk to the Christmas markets.
Great location next to main station and King Street. The rooms are very clean and modern. The air conditioning was not powerful enough to cool the room to a satisfactory temperature therefore it was hot in bed and kept waking up during the night. We did not choose to have breakfast because we thought the value for money was very poor. The customer service was very good.
First room (Superior 130) was very disappointing. Tired decor, stained carpets, curtains & chair. Thin mattress, poor quality bed linen. Housekeeping requests very slow, took 3 calls to get second pillows. Luggage took 1hr 15mins to arrive after getting in our room. The wonderful Peggy in reception did rectify the following day and upgraded us to a far better room with an apology card & sweets. Just a shame we had to experience this initially but it did improve. Wonderful Breakfast though!
We only stayed at the hotel for one night, but we loved it. Don't let the exterior fool you. This is a VERY nice hotel. The entry lobby was bright and beautiful. The front desk staff greeted us in a warm and friendly manner. They told us they had upgraded us to a junior suite. The room was large and very modern complete with a separate sitting area and huge bathroom with both a tub and a glass shower with rain shower head. The hotel is convenient to the train station, literally across the street. We were also able to walk to see many historic sites. If we make it back to Stuttgart, I have no doubt the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin would be a hotel of choice for us.
The Steigenberger hotel is a great property with a prefect location just across the street from the Hauptbanhof. Stuttgart 21 it a massive construction project around the main train station that has negatively impacted the convenience of some of the local hotels. For example it is now very difficult to walk from the ___ to the Konigsalle, and main shopping areas. Many of the rooms have been upgraded to a small suite layout with a separate bedroom area. We found the layout to be excellent. They offer a good bar area and a nice exercise room. Overall one of the top properties in Stuttgart.
This hotel is very nice. Has almost everything to be a 5 star. Staff was great. Common areas and room very nice. Spa and gym excellent. Room has just about everything you could ever want except, it was stifling in the room. Dry is an understatement. Windows do no open. We felt trapped in a junior suite. Pillows we're awful and lack of them is curious. I get more pillows at budget hotels. And finally. Are you serious with the internet. It is worthless. For 3 bills a night I expect internet that works. I could not accomplish simple tasks with your internet. And the finishing touch as I wrote this, the Nespresso machine didn't work. I really liked what I saw and felt when I arrived. But I couldn't stay here again.
Nice location, pretty close to the Stuttgart Christmas Market and to the City Bus Tour (hop-on/hop-off) and directly across the street from the Central Train Station. Nice bar in lobby. Elevators were pretty quick. Room was clean and quite spacious! Bathroom was like a spa! Double sinks, fantastic shower and very nice bath products. Flat screen TV (though not much English-speaking TV, other than Sports & News. A "home" or "HGTV"-type channel would be nice. We really, however, didn't watch much TV anyhow, we were out & about in nice Stuttgart!), pretty and good room-darkening window treatments. A very nice stay. We would stay again.
