Only few hundred meters walking distance from some of Rome's major attractions this hotel is located in a really nice spot. Clean and tidy with spacious rooms and friendly staff. They serve breakfast at the 6th floor giving you the chance to see Rome from high above. A nice hotel and with a very good value for money ratio.
We came here to celebrate our anniversary as we had our honeymoon here a while ago. The hotel itself is very clean and the breakfast is lovely with great views. Whilst the main bedroom was clean the bathroom could do with some maintenance. The shower was a bit old and in need of updating. It's a great location though so I'm not sure if it was enough to put us off going again.
We stayed at Hotel Barberini for three days our first visit to Rome.. The hotel is in a great location in the heart of the city. We walked to all the attractions, trevi fountain ,Spanish steps, pantheon and we did walk to the colosseum and near the Vatican but it was a good 20 minute walk..We found walking the best way to see the city. The breakfast was decent, our rooms were ready upon arrival which was greatly appreciated after a long day of traveling. The hotel is very clean and has excellent air conditioning. Would definitely stay here again.
This was a quaint hotel in the heart of the hotel. Very roman and very classical style. Front desk did a great job at checking us in and explaining everything near us. I don't think id stay here again, but have no complaints.
Just returned from the Hotel Barberini. There were eight of us in total, we were all given nice rooms. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was in a great location close to all the main attractions. I would definitely stay here again, the only thing I think could be improved is the roof top restaurant/bar. It is not a bar just a dining room with drinks available. It is a shame as so much more could be done with this space and I think that would make it more inviting to eat in in the evenings. The breakfast although basic, was very good and the staff very accommodating. All in all a good little find!
Located just off the Piazza Barbarini across the street from the museum, this hotel is a jewel. It has excellent air conditioning, which I understand from researching reviews and hearing other traveler complaints is a rarity in Rome yet a necessity in the heat of the summer for travelers who like me are accustomed to it. The lobby is small and down some treacherous stars so beware if you have a disability or tons of luggage. The elevators are large and fast. A room with a view of the Barberini Palace(The National Museum of Ancient Art which contains works by Caravaggio and El Greco among others) immediately across the street is worth requesting. The rooms are not large but have a luxurious feel, marble bathroom, very good soft sheets. A breakfast at their enclosed rooftop restaurant with a gorgeous view was included in the rate we booked. They don't have a separate concierge, just a front desk and the concierge service was good in some instances, not so good in others, unlike my two previous stays. when the front desk was warm, friendly, and helpful. One man was particularly lazy and ill informed. We had to make our own restaurant reservations. There are many good restaurants nearby but the good ones are booked in advance , especially on Sunday. Our only complaint about the room is the lack of any glassware whatsoever in the room. We had no glass in which to place our toothbrushes to dry and if we had wanted to drink the Prosecco from the minibar we would have had to use plastic cups. Paper cups were provided for the coffee.
We stayed here for four nights and it was perfect as a base for our exploring. Whilst our particular room wasn't particularly big, the staff were so welcoming and cleanliness was great. The shower was powerful too which is always great to find in a hotel! The buffet breakfast was knock out and you must try the roast pork with herbs that they have out as a cold meat.
This hotel is central to Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and lovely eating places in the Piazza Barberini. The hotel staff are very helpful. The room was just fine. Queen size bed was comfy, the view was nice, quiet from street and the bathroom was good. Some other reviewers had a problem with the shower but it was easy to use and plenty of hot water. The rooftop breakfast is a lovely way to begin your day. There are several steps down from the street or you can use the ramp as an alternative. We didn't use the spa or hotel bar. I would stay here again.
We have recently stayed there for 4 nights. Clean and cozy hotel close to major attractions in Rome. Great breakfast on the 6th floor terrace, with breathtaking views of the Vatican and Rome. Good value for the price. You can walk everywhere: Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, restaurants and little shops. There is a supermarket, liquor store and a pharmacy nearby. Plan your stay wisely, so you can see and experience the most important sites and attractions. We visited the Vatican and Musei Vaticani on the first day with a tour guide. Go early to avoid crowds. Unforgettable place, overflowing with fine, timeless art! On the second day we visited the ancient part of Rome: Forum Romanum, Palatine Hill and the Colosseum. A lot of walking, but so worth it! The last day was a little more relaxed - we created our own walking itinerary to see all the piazzas, fountains and monuments around the city, strolled charming narrow streets. Enjoy your stay!
We stayed here for 5 days in November 2016. It totally surpassed all my expectations and was a really relaxing, friendly place. Breakfast every morning was served with a smile and couldn't be faulted. Everything fresh and we'll presented. Delicious!! Would highly recommend this hotel, location is perfect and a simple walk to all tourist attractions. 5 stars from us
