The only thing good about this hotel is location and size. It's not clean and smells bad. I would not recommend this hotel...
The bathroom smelled like urine and the shower tile grout was moldy. NOT 4-star hotel as advertised. Would not stay here again for this price.
Stayed at hotel 7-9 april 2016. Stayed in double room. Good comments from other reviews - ie great location - you can walk in any direction 10mins and get to major points of interest. I kept windows open when i was in room (temp at night was about 60 degrees) - I think the room really doesn't have AC, just a fan. Or the AC part isn't working until they turn it on for the building. No big deal for me but this isn't summer. Room size was actually fine. Bathroom had space as well. Just a few spots for setting things down. Shower was on the small size but not an issue for me. Staff was very friendly and helpful to me. I paid for the breakfast included. Overall happy with that. It's like a USA Hampton inn type setup - ie pastries/cereal/yogurt. A heated server for eggs/bacon/sausage/boiled eggs. Juice dispenser and a self serve coffee/espresso machine. Breakfast area was a little small/tight on seating so getting breakfast early might be a goal -- although I wouldn't say this was peak tourist season, was space/open seating when I was there, but was at 0745 in morning. Most tourist attractions open at 0830-0900 so breakfast may be busy this timeframe in the summer. Overall happy and would recommend this hotel, just heads up on the air conditioning.
I have reserved a 4 stars hotel but when I arrived i was shocked: at least a 3 stars hotel. The only positive thing was the location. After this everything was horrible: a very small and limited room, no view, a leakage in the toilet, and a very bad service. My opinion overall: go there if you need a 2 stars hotel with an expensive price.
GREAT Location! The only complaint we would have is that fo the 95+ Degree weather we experienced in August the AC was not keeping up to cool the room down enough but neither were the other hotels we stayed at on our trip around Italy.
Centrally located, staff, service and cleanliness were what we expected... great. The location is amazing and made the trip! You'll see when you get there. Great value, clean and easy to get to everything.
Perfect Rome location. One block away from the Forum. Staff was friendly, rooms were nice. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Besides the ideal centre town location, the best feature of this hotel is a great roof terrace. Certainly the best place to relax after a busy (and tiring) day visiting the endless attractions of Rome. And the vue over the Eternal City is stunning any time of the day or after sunset.
It was a very small room and the bathroom was so tight I banged my chin on the edge if the sink as I went to use the toilet. I'm slim and 165 cm. Not that big. No kettle in the room as well. But that wasn't the worst of it. I could hear every footstep and noise in the corridor. I would not return. Though on the upside it was very centrally located.
Room was small for three people but had all that was needed. Staff was friendly. Would return!! Thank you!!
It was a perfect location for the hotel, staff was very very friendly. Over all nothing jumps out at me about this being a special hotel. Good for an inexpensive in the heart of the downtown area.
friendly staff and centrally located (15 min work to most attractions)
I could not have been happier with this hotel! From the accommodating and super friendly staff to the absolute perfect location - I will be booking here on my next trip to Rome! A shuttle took me from the airport right to the front door of the Hotel Cosmopolita. The first thing the staff did was greet me and give me a map highlighting everything I had to see in Rome! The room was perfect as well and offered a comfortable bed, super clean bathroom, great shower, and flat screen tv/internet option. The hotel has a bar on the ground level where you can stop in and get a drink or food before you head out exploring. One of the best things I enjoyed about my room was the window in my room had a great view of the city! - check out the roof top terrace as well for awesome views! I went in November which is normally the rainy season in Rome but lucked out with only 1 day of rainy weather and the rest nice and sunny. Cant say enough about this hotel, its awesome staff and incredibly perfect location which is in walking distance to everything. As a first time traveler to the eternal city I could not have chosen a better hotel. Lastly - as a first time American traveling alone to Rome I was concerned about any language barriers I may face. This is a non issue completely. The staff speaks English and virtually everywhere I went throughout the week everyone spoke English enough where you can get by!
The location in Rome is everything and this hotel is in the heart of the everything. Very nice and friendly.
the location is great, the staff are perfect especially the receptionists, the ordinary room is small but comfortable
If you are planning to stay in Rome for a few days, this hotel is perfectly located for walking around town. The staff was friendly and helpful especially Max who was behind the desk. The bed was a bit stiff, but the room was clean. You could hear voices in the corridor and thru the walls, but that was only a small inconvenience.
The best reviews that I can immediately come up with off the top of my head are: LOCATION, Location, location Clean and FRIENDLY. Although there was a minor conflict booking this room with the travel agency, I requested a room with occupancy for three and when I arrived they stated that the room in my itinerary was nonexistent. I don’t want to knock them for that although being completely FURIOUS they tried a way to accommodate us all. Whether this problem was through the travel agency, or the actual hotel, I MUST say that the hotels hospitality and friendliness definitely overcame the stipulations. This issue with my itinerary will hopefully get resolved but I can surely put that aside. The hospitality was golden, cleanness was great! I travel a lot and stayed in resorts from Vegas to Boston, the location and warm home feel was grade ‘A’. remember that MOST hotels in Central Rome are small. Rome is compact and obviously old. But this place was GREAT. I highly recommended.
Great Location - you could walk anywhere. The buses were right across the street. Great Breakfast - something for everyone and plenty of it. Needed Renovation. Our room was extremely small, on the first floor facing the rear of the building. the window had bars on it. When we asked to have the room changed we were told no..
Staff very nice, informative. Clean and very adequate. Good deal for the $$. Towels lousy, okay closet but no drawers in room at all. Overall, it was fine. The location makes it. Staff good too!
My second stay at Hotel Cosmopolita, confirmed that this is a great place to stay in Rome. You cannot beat the value and location. It's not the fanciest hotel in the world, as some might expect a 4-star to be, but it more than gets the job done, coming from someone who's particular about where he stays.
