The St. Regis Rome

5.0 out of 5.0

I have been going to this Hotel for many years, this is by far my favorite. When I'm back home, I 'm always wishing I was back.

The building is magnificent and the the rooms are amazingly comfortable and well appointed. The showers could use updating (fixtures, seals, and shower door were visibly aging from use). Staff was very polite but the quality of the food from room service was very poor, unfortunately. Internet was out for 2 days straight without much consolation aside from an apology note slipped under everyone's door. In this era, that's a pretty big thing for such a place to be without for several days. It's not a international 5-star property by any standards, but a beautiful building indeed.

The room was super comfortable and very nice. The location was decent, close to train station, but a decent walk from a number of other things we wanted to do. The staff though was super helpful. We had nothing planned, and they got us private tours of the vatican and colosseum from a woman who had a PHD in archeology the very next day. They also got us reservations at two fantastic restaurants. Without them we would have been lost on what to do.

great hotel , the staff is so nice ! if your going to rome this is the place to stay ! we have stayed at other st. regis properties and each experience is better then the last , they are in a class of there own

I've stayed in many great hotels... this is by far the best. From the staff, decor, ambiance, food and drinks... this is perfect. My stay was like something out of the Golden Age of Travel.

From the room to the concierge to the bar the service and ambiance were perfect!

Most places of interest were easily accessible and the staff provided helpful advice

This is a beautiful hotel! Five star with all of the luxuries you would want. It would have been perfect if internet access was free.

My daughter & I spent 5 fantastic days in Rome, staying at the St. Regis. The hotel is magnificent; staff is perfectly trained, friendly and helpful; and the restaurant is outstanding.

First class all the way! Service was great. Hotel is a short walk from most of the attractions about 10 minutes from (Colliseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps). Hotel is 2 blocks from Termini Train Station so arriving from aiport or traveling out of Rome is very convenient. Metro line is only 1 block away which takes you to Vatican City inside of 15 minutes for 1 Euro per person.

Excellent location close to Termini. Typical days I would take the Metro (1 block from hotel) to site seeing location, and walk back toward hotel by late afternoon. Rome is a very walkable city, with interesting sights around every corner. The St. Regis Grand Hotel is fabulous. Top line room features, welcome fruit basket, turn down service, everything top end. A real refuge for relaxation. Orbitz room was small, with no view, but well worth the price paid. I'm very satisfied with the overall value, and would happily stay here again!

Good Hotel in all respects - expensive, (it is a St. Regis after all) but the room was kinda small. Swanky place overall
