An amazing location, right in the heart of Rome, with everything within walking distance. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and our room/apartment was amazing. We would love to return on our next visit to Rome.
This SLH hotel is a great find. From the moment we arrived (which was close to 11 pm at night), until the moment we left, everything was perfect. We had a splendid room on the second floor (203) which was spacious and beautifully appointed including a very pretty ceiling mural. Most of all, the hotel staff at every level was warm, welcoming and could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Made wonderful dining recommendations - not tourist places at all. We spent 4 nights and hope to return soon. Bette K., Los Angeles, CA
As my wife has said in a previous review, what a fabulous find. This hotel and its staff provide extremely comfortable and well presented accommodation and services at what I believe to be a very fair and reasonable rate. Everyone is treated to the same warm welcome and service regardless of the accommodation booked. The hotel manager greeted us and was there prior to our departure. Very gracious and amiable. Provided information and reiterated that we should not want for anything during our stay. This leads me to believe from an objective view that when people make negative comments about the hotel and service it’s because they have essentially chosen to either let it go at the time and unfairly bring it up in their review or have not taken up Antonella’s genuine, warm and professional offer to resolve any problems the guests have. I couldn’t have enjoyed my stay more. Yes the hotel has rooms and suites to fit around the likely listed and protected buildings in that area. After all it’s the Spanish Steps built in 1723 with the type of history and architecture that doesn’t quite support the building of a premier inn. So what we have to ‘live’ around one of the most visited and appreciated iconic symbols of Rome? If that’s how you get to stay near the Spanish Steps so be it! There is nothing better than the Inn at The Spanish Steps. Lovely team at the end of the phone. Intimate and comfortable little breakfast area was available to me in my suite around the corner. Did I mention I was upgraded to a very pleasing suite which was obviously worth more per night than I had made the booking for. So that shows how much the hotel management care about it’s guests, reputation and attention to detail. It is an upgrade by the way so when it’s offered only an idiot would turn it down. Hey Max, my wife is still going on about your poached eggs. So thanks for that 👍😉. Thank you for your attentive service. Best breakfast service I have had for a long time and it made the day special. Definately coming back ! Thank you Antonella and all at the Spanish Steps. This is my first ever review. You all prompted me to start airing my opinions but more so being able to see the subtle little differences between a hotel that cares and one that doesn’t. Now everyone on trip advisor can choose a hotel at the beautiful Spanish Steps that cares.
We have just returned from a mini break and both couples agreed that this hotel is in the perfect location for exploring rome. It is within 100 yard from the Spanish steps and 300 yards from the metro. We never used a cab as most sights were within walking distance. The hotel staff welcome was really lovely and genuine we could not have asked for more. The guest relations manager Jessica was outstanding and really contributed to a lovely stay. This was our 6th visit to rome and this hotel will be my first choice from now on. ECD LONDON
We have stayed here 3 times before and this time we were kindly upgraded to a suit with amazing views to the Spanish Steps. Stephen was really nice in reception as well as Jessica who very politely showed us around and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast buffet was very good and very well served by the lovely Roby with her exquisite service. We will always go back to this beautiful hotel in Rome, not doubt about it.
Great service. Very polite staff and very comfy beds. Breakfast lacks a little and room sizes differ but still lovely. Room service very quick and helpful. Large bathrooms with a beautiful bathtub. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay close to the Spanish Steps.
We booked the Inn at the Spanish Steps on short notice during the peak post Christmas/New Years season. We had to book the smallest room but upon check in we were told that we had been upgraded. While this was pleasant news, our upgraded room was still small and dark. But in the end, with all the lively traffic on the main shopping street outside, being in the back proved to be the quiet option; we slept well. The term "Inn" as used here is meant, I believe, to forgive the fact that this is not a hotel in the strict sense of the word - more like a luxury pensione with a nice roof terrace and very, very good concierge service attached. The rooms are scattered on the upper floors of a building that now houses a teashop on the ground level, one door away from Prada. The decor is a bit much - a could have done without the fake satin orange bed spread - They might be better served if they just stripped it down to some clean white muslin and linens. You are smack in the middle of the luxury shopping/tourist district and while the inn is not ON the Spanish Steps, it is a half a block away - so the location is good. (FYI, there are places to stay ON the Spanish Steps) We appreciated the office staff who are good with dinner recommendations and other advice. Would I stay here again? No sure, as there are so many other options in Rome that were sold out when we planned our trip. That said, you will not make a mistake if you stay here, just understand what you are booking.
We came to Rome the seven times. We like to try different hotels every times. The Inn At The Spanish Steps is an excellent hotel. The manager Miss Jessica is there every day. She is very friendly and helpful and so are other staffs at the hotel. We will come back again. The view of the roof restaurant is so beautiful the coffee there is so good.
The Inn A The Spanish Steps is an amazing boutique hotel where you fell like you are staying with family. Everyone on the staff treated us like we were the only guests. There is an amazing buffet spread on the top floor which is available from breakfast time until late at night. Everything i included except for drinks in the evening.
Stayed recently at this wonderful Hotel and Can not recommend it highly enough. The stafff could not have been nicer and the service was superb. The location is amazing, right next to the Spanish Steps and all the Gorgeous shops!!
