Basic hotel, clean rooms and very polite and friendly staff. Breakfast was typical Italian, so no eggs, bacon whoever desires such things first thing in the morning. Hotel was selected because it's location, close to Termini. Slow elevator, my wife was faster on stairs. Walking backwards. ;)
This is a very basic hotel but in a good location - next to the central train station with access to the metro, to buses and even to hop on hop off strating points. The hotel in situated on the two top floors of an old building with access via elevator only to the first of the two floors on which the hotel is located. The breakfast was very basic with mostly sweet options available in the buffet. The staff however was very polite and always willing to help with anything.
I think disadvantages are more. We r staying at roof floor. The roof is a problem for tall people. The toilet and bath is really small. The air conditioner is central, and you can't change the heat level, no remote controller. Apart from these, it is located almost in the heart of the City, just near Roma Termini.
My overall experience with this hotel was very bad. When we arrived at midnight we had problems with the card payment, to be fair here i do not know if the problem was from our side or them. During the next hour that we tried to fix the problem they did not let my wife and my friends girlfriend enter in any room (they said pay first and then enter the room) so they stayed in cold. Our reservation on was made on booking and we payed with the card on booking but they did not charge the card throu the site like they should've do. After finishing the payment we received our rooms and surprise it was the same temperature as outside even though we have announced our exact time of arrival. For heating they had something like an AC that we started but in the first night we slept in cold because both rooms had those AC's broken. The second night when we arrived at the hotel we told the guy at the reception, who by the way he barely understands English, that our heat is not working. He said that something is broken and gave us 2 more blankets. I did not accept this think and asked to change our rooms. He said that the hotel is full and he can't. I demanded to talk to a manager he said he can't call him but after a lot of demands he called someone( did not say if he is the manager or not) that someone came and in 5 minutes changed our rooms. Also i did not received a fiscal or invoice for the city tax payed at the hotel and the guy at reception did not understand what i have asked for. Overall it was a terrible experience due to the staff and the bad conditions. The rooms are not like in the pictures on any sites. I do not recommend this hotel and i also have an undergoing discussion with ECC ( European Customer Care) about this hotel.
the hotel location is the best thing about it. it's only 3 minutes away from Termini central station , and it's well connected to all the city with buses and metro. it's a 5th and 6th floor of a building . rooms are good , with air condition (some reviews said they make you pay for the air condition but it's not true) bathroom is nice, they serve breakfast even with their cheap prices , the service and cleanliness of the rooms are amazing , we arrived at 8 am and they had an empty room so they allowed us in with no extra cost, on the check out day we left our luggage till 11 pm , the concierge showed us where to go.
We were asked to pay upfront on arrival, which I found a bit weird/disturbing so asked to see the room first before committing. It was OK. We had booked a family room of four single beds and it wasn't as small as I had imagined it would be (considering this is a budget hotel). There was actually a small desk and 2 chairs in addition to the beds. The window opened out onto buildings opposite. The bathroom was basic but good enough to use (although preferred to use my own toiletries). My daughter refused to shower in it as she said the shower mat was black underneath - but I preferred not to look! Breakfast was OK but the coffee machine obviously used cheap coffee and the kids said the cornflakes were hard (but budget hotel so it's par for the course in my opinion). Other reviews mention the elevator - this being located on the fifth floor. Yes, it is slow and does only fit 4 people without luggage but really it's not a big deal to wait for the elevator. It did break down once while we were there and got fixed quickly. The location of the hotel is the best thing about it - Termini is literally round the corner and you are surrounded by options to eat with plenty of cheapie halal fast food outlets as well as Italian restaurants and even McDonalds steps away. If we were going back to Rome, we probably would book somewhere else just to up the comfort factor a little but on this occasion it suited our purposes well enough and fitted our budget.
Hotel side by Termini, about 2 squares from it, very well located for those who want to use public transportation, 01 square from metro. There are many sellers in the street (clothes, souvenirs, market) and cheap restaurants and good restaurants too. At termini there is a shopping mall. The hotel is located in the 5 and 6 floor of a building and there is a elevator that fit 4 persons without bags of 2 with bagages. The reception is simple, you have to pay tax tourist and the checkin is fast. The room is simple but not bad: good and clean! The window blocks the light and sound, so is quietly and dark to sleep very well. The breakfast is good: cafe, cappuccino, chocolate, juices (orange and pineapple), yogurt, toast and jam, Nutella and croissants. I liked it and recommend for those who want to pay less and stay comfort and well located to the station.
Having read previous reviews of this hotel, me and my fiancé didn't know quite what to expect. But given the relatively low price (for Rome), we were pleasently surprised. Yes, the hotel is on the 5th and 6th floor of a building, and yes, the elevator is small and rather old. But we never had a single problem with the elevator, it always ran very smoothly, albeit perhaps a little slowly. But more importantly, the hotel is in a prime location, right next to the Termini Station with it's airport connections, the Metro, trams and city buses; it is also quite close to sites such as the Fontana di Trevi and Colosseum, if you don't mind walking a little. The rooms, although not the most modern, were of a good size, always clean and had working AC. I do agree with the reviews that said that noise travelled easily through the doors and if this bothers you, I'd understand. My fiancé and I are both quite heavy sleepers though, and only noticed the noise in the morning, when the cleaners were about and we were already up. As for outside noise, we never noticed any. The hotel has breakfast included in the price, which is always a treat when you're in a big city. They offer cereal, yoghurt, chocolate croissants, coffee and juice which we found to be quite enough to last us until lunch, and definitely preferable to having to go out and find somewhere to breakfast first thing. The wifi was always good enough though perhaps a bit slower in the afternoon, when I assume everyone else was also using it. The staff were always nice and welcoming and spoke good enough english, at least the ones in the reception. They even printed a ticket for us which we'd forgotten to do, free of charge. I don't really have one specific thing to complain about, or even several smaller things. It's mainly little details that I, at least, could live with for four nights. One thing was the AC: you couldn't control the temperature from your own room so if it was too cold, you had to turn it off completely. The hotel is also not very pretty, it's actually quite ugly. The owner hasn't really made an effort to create an ambiance. But these are really just minor things. I liked this hotel and I would stay here again on my next visit to Rome.
The staff was extremely loud and noisy even after 12 o'clock (midnight) making it impossible for someone to fall asleep (which is something that becomes important after a day of visiting in Rome). The other guests were also quite loud during the night and the doors were not suited for limiting the noise, nor the windows for the street noise The receptionists were barely speaking english and quite impolite (when we arrived we stood in front of the desk for like 5 minutes while the receptionist talked to the phone without the slightest sign of welcoming). The breakfast was very poor with same limited choices every morning (croissant, milk, youghurt, cereals, marmelade, honey and bread). The conditioning sistem could not be adjusted sometimes was too hot. The location of the hotel was on the 5th floor and the elevator was old and slow. Unpleasant smell in the bathroom.
I've visited Concorde with a school trip. The hotel was in a building on the 5th floor, and the elevator was not very good, so it was quite a climb every day. Our room was not too big but very clean. The bathroom was also not that big but it was quite okay. There wasn't much too choose for breakfast but next too the hotel was a supermarket. It's very close to the metro and bus stop which is called "Termini". All in all it's quite a good hotel for the price.
