My high school age son and I stayed here over a soccer tournament weekend. The room was excellent. The bed very comfortable, the layout smart with a turnable TV, a full desk and pull out couch. This room could have easily slept 4 of us if our whole family was there. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and the person responsible for the breakfast even early so we'd have the full breakfast at 6:45am instead of 7am on Sundays. The only reason this is a 4 and not a 5 is that I thought they should serve breakfast on real plates and utensils. The food was good for a self service but eating off paper plates and using plastic utensils was disappointing. It was also very nice we could walk to a great dinner spot (Tavern on Clark) from the hotel. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Rockford!

I visit Rockford once to twice a month and always try to stay at the Residence. The only complaint I have is that last-minute booking is near impossible as they are often full. I have stayed in dozens of Residences across the country and this is only of my favorite. The rooms are always quiet and comfortable and it might be silly, but it's nice to have that bag of microwave popcorn waiting for you in the room after a long travel day. The evening mixers always have good hot food (very nice when there is a foot of snow on the ground and -20 degrees outside). Guaranteed Brianna will greet you with a smile and offer you a beverage, and if you go down more than once she will greet you by name from then on. These are only Mon-Wed so Thu you are on your own for dinner. Good upscale bar behind the hotel within walking distance as well and a seafood place out-front, but it is very pricey and not that good. They upgraded the breakfast a few months back to include more flavorful and healthier options, a big plus. Exercise room is a little small, but I go early so no troubles getting a treadmill. Outside grounds are nice, few outdoor couches and a grill if your into cooking yourself. The rooms are what you'd expect at a Residence for amenities, stove, full fridge, microwave, dishwasher, all the comforts of home. Two-bedroom varieties have a fireplace, but they are wood-burning and no free wood around, so I never used them. Gas would be nicer. All-in-all my preferred hotel in Rockford. very comfortable, very inviting staff, easy highway access, etc.

I stayed at this hotel for my son's birthday party and it was wonderful. The young lady at the front desk, I believe her name was Emily was just lovely. We needed extra blankets and help to figure out the sofa bed and she was so helpful and friendly! 5 star staff at this hotel all the way around!

I always love coming back to this hotel. The receptionist, Emily, is always super friendly and conversational. She always asks how I'm doing and is quick to help out when I have any sort of request. The mixer hostess went above and beyond to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal.

I travel for a living and stay at hotels about 250 days a year. This staff is far and away the best staff I have ever had that pleasure of staying with. Dee, Breanna, Trinity, Emily and Tori consistently went out of their way to make sure my stay was first class, they all under promised and over delivered. And greeted every guest with a smile and a warm heart. If you are anywhere near Rockford, Il this is the only hotel to consider. 5 stars all the way! BP.

We always try to stay at the Residence Inn Rockford, they are always welcoming!! The rooms are always clean and it is a great place to stay when we are on a project in this area. Recommend everyone stays here!!

Front desk personnel very friendly. Room was roomy and very clean. Enjoyed having 2 bedrooms especially with teenagers. Able to spread out and not hear the tv going all night. Availabilty to several restaurants especially one that we thoroughly enjoy when we are in town. Close proximity to the mall and other shopping venues. Breakfast was yummy, plenty of variety of food. Yum!

The rooms are clean , large, with kitchen , good toilet and service The people at the desk are nice and gentle. Especially if you find Trinity Close to a lot of restaurants and stores. I usually come here when I'm in zone.

Very friendly staff, comfortable beds (we all slept well), a well maintained property (a tad outdated), pet friendly (pricey pet fee), breakfast was mediocre (gravy was cold), but overall a good stay. A fantastic breakfast would have bumped this to a 5 star rating. Would stay again.

We weren't overly impressed. This Residence Inn is a step below other similar suite hotel chains. Overall the hotel is ok, but for the price you can do much better. Do yourself a favor and drive on to another hotel. I found it to be sub par even when compared to other Residence Inns. Overall, the place looks like it could use a facelift. A lot of stuff is dated and worn. Our safety latch in the room was broken. You would think they would have noticed that during a room check as it is important to the safety of their patrons. We were told that we could have moved, but packing and unpacking really didn't seem like something we wanted to do for a one night stay. It was also very loud. You could hear everything outside and inside. My kids wanted to use the pool and I thought I would hang out in the hot tub, but it was broken. The pool area looked like it could use an overhaul or at least a good cleaning. The breakfast was good and pretty typical for an included hotel buffet breakfast. All of the employees were very nice and check in was quick. I have stayed at worse, but I have also stayed in much better. Given the price point, I would drive on to a Staybridge, Homewood, or other suite hotel.
