Very friendly staff and a welcoming environment. Nice little suites and everything you would need in a small apartment. Loved the "honour system" store and the laundry room. Very friendly and nice place. The hotel is fairly close to the highway and the bus station so it can get a bit loud but apart from that it is very good. Probably the rooms that are towards the front of the building are more quiet. Would stay here again!

This being our first visit to a Candlewood Suites we were unsure of what lies ahead. What a relief. Candlewood Suites in Rockford IL was a pleasant experience. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and exceptionally helpful. Our room was clean and fresh. All appliances worked. No back up in the shower drain. Very nice.

I stayed here for three nights and couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff was great and VERY friendly. There are a lot of restaurants close by, as well as any department store you can think of. I would stay here again.

Great room, clean, quiet, with a new queen-size bed, kitchenette (including full size fridge and two burner stove top). The hotel has a BBQ grill and picnic table in the back (you can borrow grilling utensils from the desk). We decided to stop in Rockford on the spur of the moment around 7-8 at night and the desk clerk knocked $20 off the price trip advisor listed on the web so we paid $120. Staff was polite and friendly. The only thing I didn't care for was the flooring (carpet on the bed half and laminate on the kitchenette half) felt sticky, like they didn't rinse all the cleaner off when it was washed (it did look clean, though). The desk clerk said they used too much cleanser and would make a note of it for the staff. Plenty of parking and lots of other hotels nearby with a Walmart, Steak and Shake, Burger King, and several other restaurants all on the same intersection right off the highway.

I have spent 11nights at Candlewood Suites while I was in Rockford on a business mission. This place has everything needed for a long stay, including a laundry and a small gym, and located right in front of the bus terminal (so well connected to Chicago O'Hare airport), with a WalMart at just 5min walk. My bedroom was provided with internal bathroom and a small kitchen, very comfortable. I warmly suggest this place for those who might need to stop for more than a week in Rockford.

I recommended a fellow traveler to candlewood suites because I stay there often. He called this candlewood suites and since it was late the manager said that if he checked in after she did her night audit that he would have to pay one and a half times the rate. He reconfirmed with this nighttime manager that he would have to pay one and a half times more for staying less than half the time of everyone else and she confirmed. Here's one Candlewood that I'll never be staying at

Stayed for 2 days for a friend's wedding and it was very clean and perfect bc I traveled alone. The front desk people were nice and gave me restaurant recommendations and things to do but I ended up making food in the room since I could. Walmart is literally across the street. The hotel is also surrounded by tons of shops on east street I think it was. Would stay again if i ever go to Rockford.

Very nice room with a queen bed, apartment-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and two-burner stove. One side of the queen bed was eight inches from the wall and did not have a night stand. Not nice. The bed was very comfortable however. Entrance to hotel is through two, non-automatic doors placed at right angles. Was difficult to get luggage in. Not sure a person in a wheelchair could easily navigate the entrance.

The property is very outdated. Lobby is small...not a very welcoming feel. Elevator was dirty and plain...I got nervous for what was ahead of me when riding in it. Carpet dingy and old throughout hallways. Room was nice. Just outdated. Bed was comfortable and pillows were AMAZING!

I stayed here with my wife on her business trip for one night the first week of April. I was very impressed with the layout of the room as well as the condition of the furnishings and the comfort of the bed. The room is square-ish, with the bathroom and shower together in one corner. Good desk and chair, and there is a full-size refrigerator, a kitchen sink, microwave and dishwasher. It was also conveniently close to at least two or three restaurants.
