V-E-R-Y dim lighting in the area for doing hair/face, etc. The bathroom light/fan was blaring loud. The refrigerator was loud as it cycled on throughout the night. I did not have anything in it and would have unplugged it if I could get to the plug. It disturbed my sleep. Room was very clean. Small, but adequate for one person. The Glade-type air freshener was overpowering for the size of the room. I suffer from migraines and the smell was too much for me. I unplugged it. Desk attendant was outside smoking and not aware someone was standing at the desk. I was going out and so I told the attendant who hurriedly then went inside.
Close to RIT. Clean and many close dining options. The hotel is being renovated so our room was newer and the lobby was in the middle of being remodeled. The Breakfast was nothing special but it did the job.
This is one of our go-to hotels when in the Rochester area. Pros: The place is always clean as a whistle, beds are very comfortable, and staff courteous. Always something hot on the breakfast buffet, eggs and bacon, or eggs and sausage. Easy in and easy out. Acoustics are good, very quiet, even though it backs up to the highway. Cons: Rooms are a bit cramped and the CFL lightening is not conducive to getting ready in the morning. Rooms are equipped with one chair, a second would be most welcome for relaxing in the room. Appreciate that a change has taken place since my last review requesting a yogurt offering other than 'lite', this time 'Chobani Greek'! Thank you!!!
Pretty hotel but if they make a mistake they will make you pay. Reserved a handicapped 2 double bed room for 3 days. Even called at 5 to make sure it wasn't given away. Showed up after dinner at 6:30 and they gave our room away. The choice they gave us was to take two room and pay for them. They offered to give us 1 room for 1 night for free and that room put our teenagers on another floor. Meaning they wanted us to pay an extra $300 for their mistake. So we are now 4 people squeezed into 1 room with a big bed and cots. No room to move after night 2 and they still have no solution and have not offered any compensation. At this point even compensation is a little late. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years and one of the most important things was to keep customers happy before things got really bad. This Comfort Inn has not learned that lesson stay away.
A very east hotel to find. This Comfort Inn was very clean, beds comfortable, great pillows, etc. Nice breakfast in the morning, the eggs could have been not as rubbery, scrambled were a little better. The coffee was the best we'd had on our whole trip.
Close to I-590. The room was fairly large. Comfortable bed. The bathroom was a little cramped. Everything worked well. OK HDTV of medium size. The thing I liked best was the breakfast. A good selection of omelets (premade) fruit, cereal, bagels, etc.
Other than not being able to connect to the internet, water stains on the ceiling, broken sink stopper (which they promptly fixed when we asked), and a tiny bathroom, this was an okay stay. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. This is apparently an older facility.
On a recent trip, my daughter and I stayed here to be close to another daughter and her family who live in Pittsford. The location of this hotel is very convenient to the freeway and to points of interest in the Pittsford/Rochester area. I must say I was somewhat disappointed when we got to our room, however. Perhaps it was a room that had not been used for some time, but every hard surface in the room was covered with dust! Instead of asking for another room, I just started to dust. Then, I damp wiped the desk as it had some sticky stuff on it. Also, our beds, which turned out to be quite comfortable, were pretty haphazardly made. They didn't look at all like the beds in the room pictures on the hotel website. On one side the bedding was way long, the other side short. The mattress on my bed was not even on the frame straight, it was way over to one side. Call me crazy, but I just had to remake my bed in order to sleep in it. My daughter is not as fussy, she just climbed into bed. Once I got the room dusted and my bed re-made, then I could settle in, and the room turned out to be quite comfortable. The bathroom was barely big enough to turn around in, but it was sufficient. The sink is outside the bathroom, which makes it convenient for two people getting ready. We stayed two nights, and we slept well both nights. The breakfast each morning was very good and had adequate choices. All in all, we were comfortable enough. I think it could be a much better hotel, however, with some quality control over housekeeping and some much needed refurbishing, especially the carpeting which is pretty shabby.
Right off the 590 (the sign is hard to see, so watch carefully) and less than a mile from the Pittsford Plaza--good casual restaurants. Comfortable beds and good amount of counter space on the room. Eggs, sausage, waffles, hot and cold cereals, yogurt, juice--not gourmet, but satisfying. The sink is outside the bathroom and has no towel bar nearby, so that was weird. Good value.
Newer condition, decent location, very good price, small bathroom but it worked fine (sink located outside of bathroom), clean. No washer or dryer in the hotel. Friendly staff, who accommodated us for a slightly earlier breakfast. Would stay here again.
