The food quality was poor. Both in the Specialty restaurant

Food was not very good for the price and the drinks are mostly water.

Food was mediocre and so was the service. We have stayed at much nicer. This resort is kind of boring and I would say geared towards people 60 we felt a little out of place. There were some families with kids but it was mostly older people.

The property itself was beautiful and very well kept. Someone was always cleaning - someone’s to the point where it was actually a tad annoying (like I was followed with a mop during poolside lunch once because my shoes were still wet from the pool). The property was nicely decorated for the holidays and the entertainment works so hard to try and get everyone involved. The beach itself is very beautiful, but starts to get dirty by 1:00 with garbage in the sand and the water. They must have people cleaning it because it’s pristine again in the morning. On the beach you have annoying people asking to do your hair or sell you something every two minutes - I wish the property would control that more, but I’m pretty sure it’s a public beach, technically. There is always someone ready to take your drink order whether you’re by the pool or by the beach - excellent service. I don’t drink much, but for the ones I had, they were very good. The pools are pristine clean. The rooms were also extremely clean, but you apparently have to ask for your minibar to be restocked - it’s not automatic. (They come fast through the app.) There’s no much at this hotel besides the pool and beach. Having stayed at other Rius before, I was disappointed with how boring this place was. The only shopping is the rip-you-off pharmacy in the parking lot. The food SUCKED. I mean really bad. Not one decent taco or avocado in Mexico was disappointing. The meat was tough and gamey, they put some awful sauces.

Great place, very clean. Please step up on the food quality

At first I thought it would be a lot of walking but it was an amazing resort. The staff was great and everything lovely!

Amazing resort: very clean, modern, compact, great buffet, the only thing missing is TIKIs(umbrellas) on the beach

The experience from start to finish was great. Amazing service as well as entertainment options and food selection.

Beautiful resort! Wonderful service, beautiful area and beach.

Very clean and beautiful place with great beach. Friendly stuff.

Really nice for a relaxing vacations. Super clean and really good staff.

This was the 3rd different property we've stayed at in Playa Del Carmen. No pushy timeshare membership sales, no reservations for dining. Great, spacious beach and the only place I've stayed in since covid that cleaned the room every day.

I loved that it was in a safe neighborhood and there was little stores nearby that was walkable

Beach was perfect, pools nice, dining amazing and entertainment was good.

Amazing staff

Very clean and well kept. Lots of entertainment but the food quality was not as good.
