I understand that certain hotel amenities are no longer available but it's staffs responsibility to explain that to customers in apologetic ways. In this hotel, staff did not mention things not available until I ask about the gym. She replied no gym, no breakfast, no room service, no pool. I mentioned that was still advertised on hotel website. She replied I just told you we're not offering them. I asked if I can cancel my reservation. She replied you have to do it through your booking site and make sure you check out before noon and also let us know or else you'll be charged. She then said, I need a credit card for incidentals. Also, I added 2 more nights because I did not want to check out and recheck in another hotel since I work at a hospital from 7p to 7a. The same lady told me that since I added 2 more nights it's okay to stay in the same room and that will be reflected in their system. Another lady woke me up twice on my initial checkout date and each time informed me that I needed to check out at noon that day. First time I explained that I added 2 more nights. She came back a second time and stated that computer is still showing that I needed to check out. I was furious at this time but kept my composure. Also I was unable to log onto to wifi; called operator and was told to call a certain 800 number. Explained that I already tried but unsuccessful; she said that's only solution she knows. Terrible staff; attitudes were unwelcoming, uncaring, and frankly very rude.

When we arrived at 3pm. Nothing was ready and this remained the entire weekend. The room smelled like maple syrup upon arrival and no one cared when we told them, no towels were ready for about 2 hours then we had to ask for more towels.

The room was clean other than stained carpet. The staff was very nice. The elevator was disgusting with lots of dirty hand and fingerprints all over the area where you have to push the buttons. It was so nasty!!

It was difficult to locate the property from the street.

Frankly I find this portion of the survey irritating. Especially after I gave all “excellent “ happy faces.

Clean rooms and common areas. Comfortable beds. HVAC working properly. Adequate breakfast.

The other reviews were great and we always have great luck staying at a country inn and suites but this one was not good. Our first room we checked into still had sticky spilled juice? Spots all over the hutch and side table and the carpet was very clearly not vacuumed- there were pieces of rice and Doritos all over it. I think there was once a mirror on the wall but all that remains are the holes. I turned on the shower for our kids and immediately the tub started filling with water and wouldn’t drain even after being off for 20 minutes. The bathroom also had an empty tissue box and barely a half roll of toilet paper. It looked like they walked in and made the beds and that’s was it for cleaning that day. We switched rooms and the front desk was very pleasant and kind. Second room was a little better but it had a bit of a funky smell And the trash can had a stack of garbage and to go boxes in it still. Carpets are really in need of being replaced and the pool has to be a health violation. It’s dark and murky, smells very heavily of chlorine and the entire trip ring around it is visibly stained and dirty. I wouldn’t dare get in it. All of the other reviews are so great... maybe we had bad luck? Maybe it’s under new ownership or management? It wasn’t good but it got us through one night of our drive back home and hats all we needed.

The room is ok. But the carpet is dirty and has stains on it. As soon as we walked into the room, it smelled badly. Then we put the heat on and it started smelling like something burnt in the room. After, about 10 minutes the burning smell went away, and we got used to the smell from carpet. Since it was only 1 night, we needed to spend in the room, we stayed there because no other rooms were available.

We had a nice stay. The room was well taken care of and clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful at check in. We first got a room someone had smoked cigarettes in, but were moved without problems to a room without any perfumes or smoke smells. The room was everything we needed. We skipped breakfast and would only suggest eggs w out cheese and coffee creamer without added sugar. I know it’s what many people like, but there just isn’t much for healthy options. No complaints though, just ate elsewhere.

Good: Cleanliness and friendliness. Could be improved: Breakfast lacked eggs and meat choices. That said, Cracker Barrel was only a short walk.

The hotel had a nice breakfast setup and it was nice an quite. I chose this location for the pool though, for my kid. We couldn’t get in it. The picture showed a nice clear pool, but it was dark because it was so dirty. We thought we would get sick if we got in it. Also there was a dirty wash cloth in my bathroom. Place was dirty.
