Candlewood Suites Richmond Airport

I got an email to call Candlewood Suites shortly before leaving home. They told me they had overbooked and we're transferring us to their sister hotel Four Points by Sheraton. I will admit I was annoyed at first, but they made it easy and the other accommodations were very nice. Overall good experience, despite the change.

Home away from home! Extremely comfortable environment! A kitchen with a stove and refrigerator!! I love it!

A great place to stay close to the airport. Friendly staff, free airport shuttle and no air traffic noise. Comfortable room with nicely equipped kitchen.

I opened a cupboard and found cockroaches and then in the sink there were small bugs. My room was also right next to the front desk which was noise all night long.

He experience was great! We were only there for 1 night before flight, but it was the best experience I have ever had in a hotel! Staff was friendly, room was perfect and dinner was great!

Great value for the price, however was disappointed in the location which was in a location that had no sidewalks available for walking in the area.

I needed a last minute room near the RIC airport and I was prepared to stay at a two star hotel and just endure the normal sub-standard lodging that is often associated with such a property. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the property. The room was clean, spacious and quite comfortable. The property is close in proximity to a wide variety of eateries and shopping/entertainment, the gym was equipped with standard equipment but spacious. The evening/night staff was short staffed and so the response time was a little long and this meant that the snack shop/pantry could not be staffed or accessed: but for proximity to the airport, cleanliness and comfort at the price this was a good deal

My family and I spent the Christmas night at Candlewood and we love it! we booked 3 rooms and they were just amazing! the rooms are quite big and clean.

I was very impressed with this hotel. Staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful, room was comfortable, with all sorts of perks like a full kitchen and bath tub. Because I only stayed for one night, I didn't get to use any of the amenities like laundry room, gym, etc. Location was ideal for my trip, far enough outside of downtown to be quiet, but very close to a large selection of restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy, etc. I would have expected a hotel like this to cost close (if not more than) $100/night, so this was a steal! I don't foresee needing to stay in Richmond again, but if I do, I'd definitely stay at this hotel again.

I'll definitely return! The room was good-sized and the hotel a practical one before an early-morning flight.

This hotel was fine for an overnight stay before a flight.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of room for our 1 year old to play in our room and the kitchenette was great. We made breakfast each morning and enjoyed having a good place to keep milk and snacks for our child.

I stayed there for two days. When I first walked in the room, I was in awe!!.. It was a great room considering the price I payed.

This is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was professional and friendly and I didn't need to ask for anything. My room was set. The only thing was the internet connection was very slow. But my stay was lovely. I would definitely choose this spot again!

I had made my reservations on orbtiz 2 days prior and when I arrived the staff was working by candle light! Apparently they had lost power due to the hurricane, but no one had called us to move us to another hotel as the front desk person had said should have been done. Looked like a great hotel, but the customer service 800 number was horrible and didn't direct us to a hotel.

This hotel had everything I needed. The room was just as pictured and described on the website. I've stayed in hotels in the area that definitely stretched the truth in their advertising. It's extremely close to the hotel for those flying in. And it's also close to shopping and dining spots. A short ride on the interstate will get you to the other attractions of the city, without having to compromise on the quality of the hotel. I really feel that I got the best deal for the money...I'd stay there again without hesitation, whether I'm going to be in town for a day, week or even longer! Oh, last but not least...the staff was very friendly and professional.

Needed a place to stay on a Friday night. The hotel had live jazz in the atrium. It was unbelievably loud walking through the lobby, but we could not hear it at all in our fifth floor room. Also, parking lot was overflowing when we came back from dinner, but they had a section (with attendant) marked off for registered guests.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Room and amenities we suitable for the price of the room. Stay was very friendly. A definite must stay again.

Candlewood Suites are well designed for families. Clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. We just stayed here to catch an early flight out of Richmond, there's not much else at this location.

This was awesome. Everything I could have hoped for. My room was clean and I wasn't bothered by other clients. The bed was amazing and comfy after a 22 hour drive and the staff was very friendly and said hello to me if I was walking by.
