Older hotel but good condition. The check-in attendant staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was very spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. There were numerous non-smoking signs, but the hotel's elevator and halls smelled awful—almost like someone had just finished smoking. The posted elevator inspection certificate was out of date. Overall decent stay for one night and the rate. Conveniently located to the shops and roadway.

It’s November 6th in New Hampshire. Over night, last night it was approximately 20 degrees and below zero with the windchill outside. Inside our room, it was in the 30’s. The heater was blowing freezing cold air all night long. The front desk said… “Yeah… We know. Those heaters are temperamental. There’s nothing they can do about it. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. We could move you, but there’s no guarantee the heat will work in the room we move you into.” So, they didn’t bother moving us and we literally froze all night.

I love Motel 6. It’s my go to motel for the availability, consistency, and value. However, my room on this visit was down a hallway without any lights. It’s not that the lights were turned off; it’s that there were no light fixtures at all. The fixtures had been removed. Ordinarily, I would just brush this off, but the Motel 6 spokesperson, Tom Bodett, famously says, “We'll leave the light on for you.” On this visit, that did not happen. I will still continue to choose Motel 6, but now with the understanding that “We'll leave the light on for you” is more of a catch phrase rather than a reality.
