Being close to downtown Portsmouth is definitely convenient. Room is a good size and can easily fit four people. Sofa couch, is not very comfortable but it's better than nothing. Breakfast is awesome! It's hard to find a place that serves a nice hot breakfast and complementary coffee all day.

My boyfriend and I were looking to book a hotel for a mini weekend escape in Portsmouth and we were deciding between this hotel, and the Hilton. I've stayed in Courtyard Marriott hotels which I found OK, so I wasn't sure what to think about this Residence Inn. However, we're so glad we trusted the reviews on this specific hotel -- it was AMAZING! Everything about it looks brand new, the staff are super friendly, and the room suites (studios, basically) are huge. Everything is really clean, and new! The free breakfast buffet is also great - several choices for all types of eaters.I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is in a perfect location to downtown Portsmouth. From the hotel it's an easy walk to all the shops and dining. Parking was easier then I thought. The room was large and clean and very comfortable. I especially like the mini kitchen area!

A great place to stay and walking distance to most restaurants and shops.

The rooms were great and spacious. The staff was so incredibly helpful and nice that we will definitely return to this hotel.

Walking distance from great restaurants and bars. Friendly staff, and comfy rooms. This was my second stay, and I will be returning!

Hotel and room were well kept. The room was spacious and accommodating for a long stay over. Down side is the parking during crowded weekends as you will have to valet for > $15.00.

Great location; had a huge room with a kitchen; would stay again! Cost was high however (400$/night). We only stayed one night.

The location in downtown Portsmouth is very convenient. We could easily walk to all the great restaurants. The hotel is new, room was clean and the bed was firm and very comfortable.

This hotel is amazing. The staff is phenomenal and super friendly. The rooms are all suites, kitchens include dishwashers, granite countertops and built-in breakfast bar. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. The front desk clerk even called to check in and make sure our room was to our liking. Our rate included breakfast the next morning which was a great surprise and quite tasty! I've stayed at other Portsmouth hotels (including the more expensive Sheraton) and I would choose this Residence Inn any day!!

Great room and very nice staff. The location is great if you plan to roam around downtown Portsmouth.

Amenities were great, rooms were nice and new. Only issue was shower setup, it made for a wet floor.

It was very good stay with Residence Inn. Service is good.

I wish.the hotel had a restaurant

Portsmouth New Hampshire was a new adventure for us and we stayed at the Residence Inn along with 2 other couples. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful from the front desk staff to the employee staffing the breakfast area. The rooms were large, nicely decorated and very comfortable. We didn't need the fully equipped kitchen as we only stayed one night but the refrigerator with ice maker came in handy. The bathroom was large with an extra large shower. We slept very well in the comfortable king size bed and enjoyed the large flat screen TV with HBO. We also made use of the free WiFi service. The only problem was that we had to pay $15 for the public parking lot across the street. Our friends got a parking ticket for parking on the opposite side of the street while we were checking in the hotel. Be sure to park only in the spaces directly in front of the hotel to check in. It was a little bit of walk but we enjoyed the restaurants, shops and harbor cruise while we were there. We also enjoyed a tour of the Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion which we had to drive to on Sunday. We will definitely return and stay here in the future.

The hotel is new and stylish. The suite room was great. Clean, comfortable bed with full fridge, granite counters and sink. Service was excellent. Were were able to walk downtown in 5 minutes. Will stay here again when in Portsmouth. We had hot breakfast included each morning in lobby restaurant.

It was great. Very short walk to the downtown. Rooms have everything you need.

Great for an escape weekend. I just wish we had more time to explore the area. Hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The only "but" was that there was no restaurant.

Great little city awsome shops restautants little pubs all in walking distance. "Fat Belly's" is a must go restaurant. Only poor thing was you had to pay for parking $15 bucks a day. Great Hotel Awsome staff Was a great weekend
