Staff and local area was very beautiful. Near downtown Portland. Very close to the restaurants. Near the river nice hike.

We needed a late last minute room and saw this advertised and said “why not”? The hotel/room look JUST like the photos! Everything was perfect. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We arrived just before midnight and everyone was super wonderful. The bed was super comfy, the river view was beautiful, heck even the bathroom was excellent. I would definitely stay here again, and I might even go out of my way to do so

Close to downtown pdx, excellent restaurant and staff. Nice walk along the river to Tri-met transit station. Overall nice experience without the downtown hubbub!

Was very happy, great location. Helpful staff. Wish I had been told about the high parking charge at check in.

The hotel is located near a beautiful river and a convenient walking trail that leads to the downtown area and the tram that overlooks all of Portland. Close to shops, restaurants, and city transportation. I did not need a car to see the sights. Their spa services are excellent and their customer service deserves 5 stars. I will return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the River's Edge. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with nice amenities. Parking is scarce in that area so you are kind of forced to use valet but we expected that.

Only complaint is a little dated and musty smell in room.

We have stayed here about 12 times over the past 5 yrs or so, always quiet and nice to be next to the river, we have even seen Beavers swim by. However when checking in, or out I cringe to see that i will be served by certain front desk employees. I won't name names bu they are superior, unhelpful and full of attitude that certainly does not fit their job or role...

Overall great hotel for stay. Few improvements needed. 1. Additional lights could be added to rooms. 2. All pictures online show patio, not every room have patio. Only handicap rooms come with patio. Very miss leading

Very clean and nice location in river. We stayed an extra night.

The room was comfortable and incredibly quiet. Very little in the way of common conveniences. No movies to pick from and not within walking distance of cafes and coffee shops that sort of thing. Nice and helpful staff. Clean room. Overall it's decent but I doubt I would choose this hotel again if I was looking to stay a few days and go out for fun. Maybe for a one nighter.

First of all I was given a discount on a room upgrade because we were supposed to have a couch in our room, when we got there the attendant told me I was wrong and "that is not advertised on Orbitz"... It was, I showed him when I returned from viewing the room I would pay extra for. He THEN gave me a discount for the room, only after already saying he wouldn't. Further convincing me he thought I was lying to him by the way I was treated. However I would not be writing this review right now if it were just for this issue. My REAL problem is with the manager on duty at the time. B. We woke up at about ten AM being that we didn't check in until midnight because of the ice storm. We first called and asked for a late checkout so we could order breakfast in bed and enjoy a lazy morning and were told that an extra hour would be granted. We called and ordered breakfast. About ten minutes later there was a knock on the door... we'll just say we were not able to answer when "housekeeping" was knocking on the door two hours before checkout time. Not five minutes later the phone rings and my fiance answers and is arguing with the person on the phone she gives me the phone, I'm told were smoking, I tell the guy we're not, he says he has to come check, I tell him were in bed he says "it's nothing I haven't seen." What followed was the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen. He came into our room told us we were clearly NOT smoking in there and then got loud and combative when I was upset

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The suite we stayed in was great. The spa was amazing.

Within a 10 minutes walk of the sky tram. Not walkable to downtown area but the hotel has a shuttle service that will take you where you need to go. Very quiet area with only a couple of resturant choices within walking distance.

The staff was very attentive. We felt well taken care of and would love to return soon.

Steam sauna and weights are nice. Nathan the valet is friendly and has great stories about music gigs.

always an excellent stay... staff is very courteous and helpful

Check in fine, with an upgraded room for 4 star hotel. Paid extra to have a really nice room for our Anniversary. Room carpet horribly dirty. Checked bed; sheets had blood stains on them and bottom sheet looked like it had not been changed from last guest. Clerk moved us to a downgraded room, gave us a voucher for Breakfast. New room also had dirty carpets and long dark hair all over the floor of the bathroom. Floor looked dirty in bathroom like it had not been cleaned for long time. Next morning at about 10:30am housekeeping brought us a bottle of wine with note of apology, which we returned to front counter because we don't drink. Over all hotel a big disappointment for over $250 a night. Will not stay there again or suggest for anyone else.

Relaxing riverside stay -- make sure to get a riverside room with balcony. Good quiet large room, nice beds and spacious bathroom. Valet service expensive but valet (young blonde guy) very attentive and helpful with directions. Good morning coffee in spa area
